    Defeat by 95 runs. Hugely disappointing after recent games. And that 95 run margin exacerbates our poor run rate.

    Unfortunately, our top five lost us that game. Between them, they managed just 74 runs but, more to the point, they used up 133 balls. As much as Worrall, Taylor and Lawes bowled well, you cannot allow those bowlers just to bowl where they want to bowl.

    The current version of Dawkins just isn't the way he likes to bat. Mentally, he just hasn't looked the same player since he came back from England U19 duty. I think he either needs to be rested (and in an ideal world Muyeye comes in) or we try something else, if only as a short-term solution. Jaydn has done a lot of opening the batting in his lifetime and perhaps Dawkins coming in at 6 would free him up a bit.
