Defeat by 95 runs. Hugely disappointing after recent games. And that 95 run margin exacerbates our poor run rate.2

Unfortunately, our top five lost us that game. Between them, they managed just 74 runs but, more to the point, they used up 133 balls. As much as Worrall, Taylor and Lawes bowled well, you cannot allow those bowlers just to bowl where they want to bowl.
The current version of Dawkins just isn't the way he likes to bat. Mentally, he just hasn't looked the same player since he came back from England U19 duty. I think he either needs to be rested (and in an ideal world Muyeye comes in) or we try something else, if only as a short-term solution. Jaydn has done a lot of opening the batting in his lifetime and perhaps Dawkins coming in at 6 would free him up a bit.5 -

@Addick Addict I got this snap of Joe Denly and Min Patel walking round the boundary at Beckenham on Sunday. Are the two young players Oliver Butterfill and Leo Selvey-Clinton? Not a great photo with the sun behind the players.1 -
I'm not sure they want to do that mainly because he won't improve our early scoring rate - the 10-over Power Play, with only two out, is an ideal opportunity to get ahead of the run rate. Should we lose DBD early that will mean that Compton and our other main crease occupier, Northeast, batting together. This is our score at the end of 10 overs in each of our games:IR94 said:

Although we do have hitters down the line, it isn't always that easy to pick up the pace without getting in first and that was the undoing of the likes of Finch and Benjamin yesterday.
As I say, in an ideal world, we can afford to give Dawkins an opportunity to reset his mindset by playing Muyeye. I simply cannot understand why other counties such as Surrey are allowed players back from The Hundred but someone like Muyeye, who lets remember has batted just three times since May, is left kicking his heals in no man's land.3 -
