I've set up a number of bet builders as well. Good luck everyone!

Probably lousy odds if you worked out their overround but they’re very handy for adding a touch of spice.
    Best of luck @StarryNight

Theoretical “move over Elon” result now:

    1. Champ
    2 & 3 Max & Tom in either order
    4 & 5 Spanish H & Final Orders in either order
    6 High Class Hero
    7 Top Of The Bill
    8 Marble Sands
    9~10 Twig

      :)

Dream crushed at fence 1 no doubt

I have some weird ones at £2 paying back £2000+  - that'll be a miracle if it happens!

Yeah, I expect all the best paying horses to fall or PU. Oh well.

Any thoughts on the pre National races anyone?  I'm heading to Aintree now.  Can confirm the going is cold and there are going to be plenty of folk shivering their way through the day.  🤣

Put my pennies on Top of the bill and Spanish Harlem.

So expect them both to fall as early as they can.
  • Great thread as always, I found some winnings in my account at the start of the season so put it on Charlton to finish in top 6.....
    Oh well,

It would be good if Charlton did not announce or display the result on the screen today.

For those of us who try to avoid the result to watch it later.

Best of luck everyone - if you backed any on the strength of my model's calculations, thank you and apologies if they don't bring home the bacon. Fingers crossed at least a couple of them do the biz.
Hope whoever you've backed gives you a real big run and buzz for your money.
Above all let's hope it's a memorable race for the right reasons and that all horses and jocks come back safe and sound.

I can’t tell if this is a joke or not.

Mrs Molloy had a nasty fall coming back from London yesterday - fractured jaw.

I came here for betting advice and was saddened to hear of your wife having such a bad accident
In my younger days, I was on the losing side of an argument with “travellers” and got my jaw broke and my eye socket smashed in - and it was not a pleasant summer but . . . .

During my extremely regular visits to Eastman Dental university, not only did they fix my jaw but they also removed all my wisdom teeth and fitted me with braces as my teeth were also wonderfully British (Austin Powers) so it was bit of a silver lining that by the time my jaw had healed - I also had straight uniform teeth and anytime anyone asked (barely ever) I got to lie a bit and say I had braces cos of fighting for some silly bravado
We don’t all feel lucky for the NHS but I sincerely thank them

    Cheers @danwhicks
    That's very kind of you.
What a story. Very glad you had such good treatment and for that silver lining.
Hope you found some interesting ideas here - there's plenty of smart contributors to the thread that have great tips.
Best of luck, whichever you've backed. Enjoy.

I put a £10 on red, doubled it to £20 and then stuck on Champ Kiely
    A very Charlton flavoured flutter

Just won in Bossman. First two races my horses didn't finish!  Great day even with some hail and rain.

Thanks for all your hard work Peanuts. Have picked four of your tips, hope Mrs. Molloy gets well soon and is cheered up with the cruise tickets following your grand slam win.

Looks like genuine Good to Soft ground - probably a nadge slower than last year but no excuses if your horse wants a decent surface.
Not soft enough for the mud lovers (Mr Vango, Answer To Kayf) one would think.

High Class Hero ran a cracker in 5th
7th Final Orders, 8th The Champ and Tom not that far away
And Top Of The Bill was brilliant for so long - just too far.

    Iroko finished like a train.
