I hate Dykes & Leaburn together. Hopefully I’m proved wrong

    Screams of take a point
Goes out the window when Leicester score early on. Campbell dropped after being the only bright spark last week. Not sure where goals are coming from here. Screams sit back and lump it forward. It worked so well against Derby.

We're leaking too many sloppy goals at the moment, so can understand the Defensive aspect
We need to get back to the basics of keeping clean sheets, working on being solid at the back again
We're not going to be a side, not this season, that is going to simply outscore the opposition - Is as Curbs used to say, need to stop any rot by any means necessary and we come into this game having conceded 6-goals in two games.

At least Leicester would not have been able to prepare for that line up.

We are a different team with Bell. Result incoming unless his hamstring ruptures.

Setting up to just try not to lose again 🙄 when will he actually attack a game and go out trying to win it from the off

Not convinced by Coady coming in to play in midfield, for all his experience and ability on the ball, you do need pace in midfield.

We’re relying on Chambers as our pacey attacking outlet which worries me.

Returned to Leaburn and Dykes when we saw that didn’t really work.

Does Coventry really have an injury or is Jones not happy with his defensive work?

Great to see Bell there, but hope he’s not been rushed back.

Maybe Doc isn’t on the way out, so if not him, who? Likely we’ll need to let some go to make space for more signings.
Thought Coventry was just knackered but he hasn't started a few now after being the first name on the team sheet earlier in the season.

Formation and line up works better with Campbell over Leaburn. We've got no outlet for the hundreds of long punts upfield that we're going to see today.

Easy money if the Merseyside Pirlo is playing DM

That’s the worry. How fit is he. Not sure I’d be happy as a midfielder if Coady comes in and replaces me.

5 at the back with doc and Coady in midfield and 2 giants up front, I wonder what the tactics are going to be 🤔
    Win...

Some serious pace in that Leicester XI as well. I’m sure our midfield will cope just fine…

What a rank line up that is. 8 defenders and 3 forwards 2 of them being lumps
Of course, we should be playing free-wheeling attacking football with a side packed with our creative midfielders!
We need clean sheets more than anything else. Five 1-0 victories will keep us up. At least this lineup does not look like an automatic two goal deficit before they get going.

Doc and Coady holding. Carey freedom. Giving Chambers and Clarke the freedom to go down the wing. Need to get crosses in with those lumps up top.

What is Docherty doing out there?
Lovely to see Bell back, does look a bit of a defensive team...
Guess we'll aim to get into HT drawing at the very least and go for it more second half
Win the Home Games / Draw the Away Games
would be good to actually go for it from the beginning though, rather than wait til we're 3-0 down

Wonder if the idea with Coady is that he can drop back into defence and let Bell/Ramsay offer support up the pitch to the wing backs. Whatever the plan is it’s a gamble

Leaburn and Dykes was a disaster against Sheff Utd, so what does he do? Goes back to it again….

That midfield is giving me the fear.

The whole team looks like it will invite pressure and have very little possession. Do we really want to hand both of those to a team with new manager bounce and players who if they click, have the potential to tear us a new arsehole?

Only real positives are Jones is still out there and Bell is back (for how long).

Thinking about it we have got a massive problem on 60 mins when we have to ‘manage Chambers and Bell’s’ minutes and we see Fatwu match up with Gillesphy 🙈

Where is the guarantee that Leicester don't score and brush us aside with a more attacking line-up?
What do we do then, if Campbell is isolated up top, because we can't break out?

The OS is going a bit over the top re Coady making his debut they could have serious egg on their faces unless he can show Wrexham and Leicester were wrong

Anderson not making the bench at all suggests the Docherty saga is over and Karoy is off to Wycombe

If Conor Coady is playing in midfield I’m truly over it.

The good news for TC is that he doesn’t need to play LWB. The bad news is he’s now a benchwarmer.

In terms of attacking threat this team is right up there with those Andrew Crofts/Foley midfields that we put out.

    Disgusting.

Bizarre. Sign a centre back with concerns that his legs have gone, who was never the most mobile at the best of times and put him in central midfield after, what, 2 days of training with his teammates. Really hope it works but has sucked all of the optimism out of me.

The Addicks are likely to line up in their normal 3-5-2 shape, with the versatility of the squad allowing Jones a number of options on who plays where

Quote directly from the OS, so in other words, no-ones got a Scooby!

Don’t mind that line up, we all know Coady can pick a pass so who knows! Good to see Bell and Chambers in there, looks a bit more balanced. Kelman to nick a late winner, got to be worth a few quid!
  • People have been saying for months now that TC is much better off the bench and should always be used as an impact sub.

Now that’s actually happening people are up in arms that he’s not starting.

    This site is fucking exhausting

It does feel like we’re chopping and changing in the hope of stumbling on another ‘Small at RWB’ moment.

    Hope it works!

Sorry, but Coady will be in the back three with Jones and Bell, the two wing backs are Ramsay and Chambers, midfield three will be Docherty, Clarke and Carey, front two Leaburn and Dykes.
