Well if he came on and just took a throw he would have got more touches than Kelman last night…

Geezer in Row Z got more touches than Kelman after TC's shot in last few minutesSouthendaddick said:Well if he came on and just took a throw he would have got more touches than Kelman last night…5 -
I can' t imagine that this guy will be anything but a wild card to occasionally chuck on late in games in the hope of rescuing a point or pinching a win. Meh.2

Shows how little we think of our other forwards0

At this point you're just throwing money away. He won't be cheap wages. He'll have to pay the silvertown tunnel fee every day.se9addick said:
Also, if you’re trying to sign players in mid-February then you’ll be left with very few options.BenHaimandBikey said:Yes I hope we sign another player who's barely played in a year. Just what we need!
Keep the money for the summer.3 -

Pace and power is what we desperately lack. Someone to run in behind get it done.1

None of them had come in from the cold though. Even if they weren't getting games, they would still have been training every day with the other players, and using all the club facilities. A big difference to training by yourself in the gym and running in the park.se9addick said:
To be fair (last night aside) the players we signed in January who’ve hardly kicked a ball have done ok so far. The thing that confuses me about the Antonio situation is why he hasn't had a club all season, when he has been an unemployed free agent all this time, having playing a few minutes for Jamaica last summer. Has he still been physically recovering from his terrible accident all this time?
If he just wants regular minutes to force his way back into the Jamaica squad in the summer, then why not join someone like Sheffield Wednesday (a former club) for a nominal wage. Or join a L1 side where his chance of decent minutes will be much greater. Surely it can't be about the money?

No lack of effort against Pompey as we didn't chicken out of tackles and that's why we accumulated 7 yellows other than Harry Clarke who was frustrated and kicked the ball away.
We were outplayed after the first minute until the 45th but I didn't see a lack of effort but did see basic errors in passing and control of the ball when we were not chasing shadows.4 -
Trying to work out if this is a sarcastic post as there were plenty of times we chickened out of tackles yesterday, especially more so in comparison to their opposite numbers.soapboxsam said:IR94 said:We need him, well anyone, we need another signing, least he will put some effort in

fully expect him to sign before the weekend now after last night0
-
Why? He will not change the way we play to any significant degree. If fit he will be helpful but it won’t stop the hoof ballElthamaddick said:fully expect him to sign before the weekend now after last night0 -
No thanks0

He does seem to have good character and would enhance the dressing room. That is always good. And some positive activity on the pitch - delighted0

Saw 2 new posts in last 5 hours and thought it was a done deal1

It will be up there with our shitty deals if it happens. Lovely fella but no way0

Bit more detail in ther article which says he's training with us

So not content with taking players on loan and getting them fit for their clubs we are now taking them in for training to get fit to join another club. Quite the charity.1

He’ll be off to Qatar then, fair play decent wage for a last pay day4

In Qatar he can escape the relentless rain

Been told today got to pass a few tests then should go ahead11

This was sort of my guess with the time it's taking. We'd be silly not to have sent him for extra scans which we're probably waiting on results ofstjohnshill said:Been told today got to pass a few tests then should go ahead3 -

A theory and a practical you say?stjohnshill said:Been told today got to pass a few tests then should go ahead6 -
Not saying he won't go, but moving to somewhere like Qatar for a couple of years aint exactly an easy decision to make, regardless of pay packet.
Blokes a millionaire anyway, and might just think he'll earn a few more quid working down the road.
Know what offer I'd take, being in the same position1 -
