Fukuda had a goal and an assist for Kyoto Sanga at the weekend

On my death bed, I’m going to wonder what he could have done in a Charlton shirt
Him & Andy Delort could have had a statue
  • Still in for Holsgrove according to transfer feed 🤔

I’m sure our interest is still registered but I very much doubt we’re really pushing.
  • Out of interest would be people accept a window where we sign decent a GK like Wickens or Walton, Holsgrove, and whatever RW ( all costing a decent fee) with the caveat that like sichienje and moving our transfer plans forward we only sign say loans in Jan?

No doubt we retain an interest but at this point we're going to be able to field a second team with the amount over the registration limit we'll be. I can't see us doing more than an keeper and a RW and even then we've got to shift some players out asap.

January is normally hard to get permanent signings.  I would say the above scenario is ideal.

100% gives us an extra 5 months to build distance away from the bottom 3 and the window in Jan is more expensive. Just need to look at last winters window to see how successful loans can be since all the players have had extra training for 5 months and are more prepared to come straight in

  • Fantasy land, signing 3 new players means we need to offload 6 players in 2 weeks
  • I find it odd that Kanu at a minimum hasn’t left yet. We must be asking for a decent amount if that’s the case

Just when you think your out they suck you back in.
  • Out

Kaminski, Docherty, Asiimwe, Kanu, Apter, JRC/Knibbs

    In

    Holsgrove, JRS, Okonkwo

    Mid-table Championship won't know what's hit them.

(Fully aware this is very football manager)
  • Isn't the ongoing link to Holsgrove just lazy journalism or have I missed something?

Probably just the fact he hasn't joined anywhere else

I don’t really understand why we’re selling him at all, and for not a huge amount of money it seems. We sent him on loan last season to develop and he had basically the best season a young striker can have on loan. I’d want to keep him on an extended contract for a few more years and get him another good loan.

Because it's not about what we want. I get the impression Kanu wants to play more and is probably reluctant to sign such a contract if he doesn't see a future where he's playing week in week out for us, so we've decided the best thing for all parties is to cash in this summer

Probably. Or his agent still trying to get clubs to be interested.
  • Seems like most of League 1 that could afford him and needed a striker  looked elsewhere. Luton signed Callum Marshall from West Ham , Plymouth signed Will Evans from Mansfield, Huddersfield have Joe Taylor already so wouldn't sign DK.

The only one I might keep an eye on but I doubt their owners would do it - Barnsley if they do a deal for Reyes Cleary. Although it's just as likely they'd just sign DKD from Wrexham.

There were a few clubs after Michael Mellon, including Plymouth but he's gone to Stevenage. Might open up some more interest in DK

Ouma for Chalobah once he’s ready to go, liked the look of him the u21 game yesterday, - mobile, strong, good forward passes, just like in FM 😆

Only an u21 game of course but very early signs of him being the type of player we’re expecting at least.

Based on Danny Mc's first few games I wouldn't be starting Ramsay (when fit) until he commits his future to us personally.
