I see almost no reason to be scouring the EFL as your primary market for players in 2026. The price inflation is completely absurd.

I would be very surprised if Wycombe were not interested in Kanu. Their team is good but look very light up top and Michael Duff would be a very good manager for him. Seems like a good fit.

Based on Danny Mc's first few games I wouldn't be starting Ramsay (when fit) until he commits his future to us personally.

Completely agree, I'd even go as far as to say McNamara looks a better full back than Ramsey.

Completely agree, I'd even go as far as to say McNamara looks a better full back than Ramsey. 

I said this before. Kayne has looked uncomfortable there for me, where are McNamara so far has looked really solid

The reason is work permits, to get players who qualify outright will also cost £££. Being a mid table and below Championship side is HARD now

Ouma for Chalobah once he’s ready to go, liked the look of him the u21 game yesterday, - mobile, strong, good forward passes, just like in FM 😆

Only an u21 game of course but very early signs of him being the type of player we’re expecting at least.

As good as Chalobah has looked so far, with his fitness issues it would make sense that Ouma is used to start games and do most of the running, giving us the option to bring Chalobah on either to help see things out or to maybe add that extra quality if we need a goal.

The only one I might keep an eye on but I doubt their owners would do it - Barnsley if they do a deal for Reyes Cleary. Although it's just as likely they'd just sign DKD from Wrexham. 

Can’t see how they’d resign DKD, wouldn’t be able to afford his wages.

Wycombe have one of the richest owners in the EFL. Mikheil Lomtadze, 90% owner and a net worth of just the 4.5 billion. 

Money won't be an issue for him, it's just whether they're allowed to spend it because of the ridiculous FFP rules.

We sent him on loan last season to develop and he had basically the best season a young striker can have on loan. What's his route to the first team? Mbick is younger and already ahead of him in the pecking order. Leaburn made 38 appearances last season. That's two young strikers in the squad in the next few years - if we add a third, that's probably only space for one senior striker.

That's crazy. 27 years old and only got 11 Championship goals last season playing for a very good team. Ipswich clearly don't see Premier League talent in him either so it's not a particularly progressive signing. Stoke are weird this year

For me though Chalobah offers that link play in midfield. He's been part of the reason our style of play has changed and why Cov has played so well.

Would Connor be as effective next to another 'water carrier' type player.

I'd say the reverse .. start with the weaker player, then if he breaks down, bring on the stronger .. what's the point in bringing on an injury prone player for a fit player when there is a good possibility that the weaker one will get an injury and then he'll need replacing

Think Wycombe's owners are quite well off. Whether they can make it work with the SCR is a different question.

Yeah it's a weird one with them , I went through their recent signings and it's very typical L1 mix of loans and frees. Spent about £800k on Aaron Morley but given their owners wealth I expected a few more bigger fees so I suspect the L1 rules are stopping this.

Makes me wonder if there's something going on with Knibbs or Carey. To be linked to 2 players that are very very much No10s just seems a bit odd otherwise.

Fair play to chuks he’s diversified and adapted very well to a post football life. 

Always liked him as a player so it’s good to see him doing well

That site isnt very reliable unfortunately. They just throw players and clubs around and hope one hits.

with both of the links (McAtee & Donley) we've been lumped in with loads of teams in the articles. I reckon it's either lazy journalism or agent talk personally.

I understand the mechanics of football enough to know that, whilst we are outside the premier league, players will come here and possibly move on to bigger and better things but if you are here, actually give it you're all in that time.

I really don’t think it’s like that at all. He has options and still some time to get things absolutely right for himself. I’m sure he has preferences and why wouldn’t he wait and see what materialises. I don’t think he sees us as somewhere he doesn’t want to be but more like he’s waiting to see if there’s a bigger club and more money. Why wouldn’t he.

Would probably make him play out of his skin would be so desperate to leave he’d force other clubs to recognise him. I don’t think there’s any chance we do get him but this screams exactly what happened with Tanganga at Millwall

Think signing Ouma and the amount of squad movement you'd have to do to free up a slot makes Holsgrove a non starter now.
