Mwamba would stick around because he doesn’t take up a squad spaceDiebythesword said:Interesting about holsgrove. Would love for us to get him but I think Coventry would then be moved on and he seems to have done okay in a better team. Or mwamba would quickly be shipped out on loan.3 -
Ejaculating quickly was the reason he didn’t stand a chance with her to begin with!Oggy Red said:

I don’t understand why we are delaying in announcing contract renewals. What is the point in the club delaying announcements0 -
In all honesty it sounds like Holsgrove would be a bit of a punt. Nothing other than some largely irrelevant stats given the league he’s playing in. Jones wants him though we’ve been told so I guess if he does go to QPR then we can consider it a serious missed target. Surely the fee can’t be anywhere near £3.5 million I’ve seen bandied about.3

I don’t think they are irrelevant and the club will have a way to benchmark them against Championship midfielders. If he’s as good as he’s talked about then £3.5m could be a stealShootersHillGuru said:In all honesty it sounds like Holsgrove would be a bit of a punt. I’d like to up the ante on the Holsgrove chat and see someone refer to him as Hosgrove, just to agitate people more14

The unbudgeted, and hopefully significant, gate receipts from tomorrow night’s game may have helped things along as well. I think it was mentioned that an away tie at Spurs could be worth anything up to about £700k4

Judging by his pre-match interview, it doesn't sound like Coventry is currently in contract talks with the club.Crispywood said:
Coventry was free but it was a huge sell on apparently they wanted 50% from Wednesday.MeerKat said:
When we signed Coventry, we paid a smaller fee but gave a large sell on, so maybe thats pushed his importance down the list. I agree though, he looks good and deserves an extensionKinsella87 said:

He's still on a League One contract right now. Is he worth actual Championship wages? I have a feeling that NJ will want to keep improving the squad and he'll be allowed to leave.1 -

Dion Charles on the bench. Great at Accrington Stanley @ Bolton. Would have loved him at Charlton but thankfully we didn’t sign him as he’s not been great since.RonnieMoore said:Tanto scored for Lincoln tonight

So it's, what, 10 pm (ish) UK time? Looks like the Rak-Sakyi saga is going to rumble on for at least another day then.
I tried to find a good meme or gif about edging, but these were about the best I could do that wouldn't get me a lifetime ban on here.

I’d wait and see what the new manager thinks there. Steve Clarke made it very hard to break into his squad as he wanted a club style atmosphereNorth Lower Neil said:

And also, the one place where they're not terrible is CM. Lacking elsewhere, but have some quality central midfielders. And as you say, was hard to get a look in under Clarke.fenaddick said:

He's tidy on the ball and helps knit the team together. NJ asked him to play deep as the sole DM in a 3-5-2 and he's done that job pretty dependably.
But with the formation change to 4-2-3-1 he looks reborn this season with Chalobah beside him as the double pivot, and we're already beginning to see he is capable of more than we thought.
Let's see how things develop, I feel there's more to come from Coventry.18 -

Echo this. I still remember him in his MK Dons days playing in a Russel Martin (I think it was) side and looking like a solid deep lying playmaker. Already this season he's been far more expansive with his passing, while still breaking up play and getting into passing lanes. I think this could be a big season for him. I think with Chalobah alongside him in a doubt pivot he's got a different role than he had with Doc and sometimes Carey next to him, he's got someone else who can play in the tight spaces as well as break up the opposition play. I think it will only make him better. Wouldn't surprise me if in a few weeks' time we're desperate for him to sign an extension as well.Oggy Red said:

I know these things don't necessarily happen in order of priority, but I get why he would be fourth on the list of Jones, TC, Ramsay, and Coventry. But I think in the coming weeks and months we will view that as the list of players to retain.3 -
Remember it being discussed but I don't think that was ever 100% certain as he switched at youth level.follett said:

They are, but they have a very solid midfield with McGinn, Ryan Ferguson, Lewis Ferguson and McTominay. I am sure if he was a starter in the Championship he would get called up.North Lower Neil said:

He has, but as a steady League One player. Never shown any signs of being better until these last two matches.gringo said:
