I still think TC may well be off. Looks to me (from
his demeanour which is open to interpretation of course) like he’s had his head turned and will have some suitors.

He will know that staying put is likely not his best financial move unless of course the owners throw caution to the wind on a squad rebuild such that we will be a real threat next year.
Don't know about his demeanor, but I think he'll have offers higher up the league despite what some of our fans think of him - if we're sensible and he won't sign a new contract, better getting a fee this summer than having another Small situation the summer after.

Will be interesting to see if Ramsay and/or Kanu sign new deals too.

The midfield is the big issue. It’s nonexistent.
Surely it’s a formation change though. The three doesn’t seem to work, we get overrun to easily.

Would a Bowyer style Diamond work better to combat this issue?
I don’t think the number of midfielders is anywhere near the problem, it’s the quality of them

As much as I appreciate what Dykes has done for us since the transfer, he is a decent backup not someone you want leading the line.  That has been what he has been for most of his career. It is not changing now. That means if we upgrade (and that’s a big if given how expensive center forwards are), one of Dykes or Leaburn won’t be here next year.  Between Godden and Kelman, you have a serviceable second striker plus given what we paid for Kelman,  it would be hard to move him.

I like the look of Emakhu at Oxford … was surprised scum let him go and he looked decent in the Derby game
Apparently he wanted more minutes but we couldn’t guarantee him that. Good on the ball, pacey, could beat a player or two, but more often than not his final ball and decision making in the final third would let him down.

Strange player. Seemed to be good when we bought him on in the last hand hour or so to run at tired legs but when he started he usually had a shocker. Apparently he hasn’t impressed that much at Oxford.
This summary would very much appeal to our scouts.

Two players that should be on our list in the summer to improve our wing play and create chances Sorba Thomas of Stoke .. if Leicester go down try and get either Fatawu or Mavididi other players include Smith and Rathbone from Wrexham …

    I will humour you.

How much do you expect the transfer fees to be for those?
Based on his valuations of our players, I reckon £250k

Got a bad feeling Ramsay won’t extend his deal would hope we could get around 2M for him this summer

If he doesn’t sign I’d sell him.

Maybe - but the fact is, none of them are good enough for The Championship.

We get overrun because we have 3 crap midfielders putting in a 4th will just make it even crapper. Combat the issue is simple sign better midfielders

Wonder how everyone would feel if we spent all our budget on just getting in a decent championship quality rb/rwb, CM and DCM, then a loan or prem youth/end of contract LWB/LB option.

Then just go with what we've got up top and at the back.

We've got a lot of dead wood to shift/release also to trim squad down to 25 + youth players

Personally I’d love that and think that’s what we’ll do. Kelman can score when given the chance, if we can get Godden and/or dykes on another year that will do us up top imo, with Kanu and mbick returning.

I reckon we’ll get another sichenje style signing in the centre of midfield and a championship midfielder. Doc and Anderson to go.

    Evolution, not revolution.
