Is he Better than what we currently have otherwise he’s just another squad player which we really don’t need. I agree. We currently have quality at the back. There may be a goalscror or two up front with the right service. But our midfield is mediocre to a man and we will be relegated if we have to rotate Coventry, Docherty, Knibbs, Carey and JRC.ShootersHillGuru said:

Bookies have us down as 2nd favourites to go down. On squad strength alone, I am struggling to identify 3 squads worse than ours with the exception of the newly promoted trio, two of which I expect to be almost on par with us before the season starts.
I just think it's going to be an extremely difficult season and 21st would be a hell of an achievement imo with our circumstances. (One of the lowest spending sides in the league with a lot of league 1 players still)
Joint third favs to go down. It goes Lincoln, Bolton and then us and Cardiff equal (Bet365).
It's very different this season, as there aren't any teams with transfer embargos like Hull, or point deductions.
This is a far more difficult season to stay up.
Cardiff have good youngsters, but aren't big spenders. They're only money is on their keeper, was on loan with them last season
Bolton were a mediocre side, who scraped up via the playoffs
Blackburn still have an awful owner.
Pompey will still be bottom 3rd of the table
West Brom and QPR won't be much better than they were last season etc

Can't say I have watched him enough to have a view like I could Doc and Cov. Statistically he is a better player than them both at league 1 level. He's had a few Championship clubs interested for this season and last season.
I personally think he improves us and it's a low risk signing. Could make the step up, but if we go down, would be a solid player to have under contract4 -

At least with Ramsay we are reasonably well covered at RCB (if we are still playing a 3), with Sichenje signing, Gough coming through and even Burke for the 15 games of the season he’s available
