Plenty of clubs will look at a 22yr old winger with international caps, look at the raw qualities he's got and back themselves to develop the end product. The amount of oppo fans last season that saw him as our most dangerous outlet too.RonnieMoore said:Who going to buy TC on his performances last season plus if Campbell was leaving he would not be playing in pre season like Kanu ….
Also we've only just got other options in the building so of course TC was going to play in preseason. Not every club will just freeze out anyone they think might get a move.10 -
Really upset to see TC go.19

I think it would be a shame if TC went to be honest.
He was absolutely overused last season and was expected to play a variety of positions. Due to him being our only outlet and the only player with real pace and trickery I think he was probably physically shot by mid season.
He’s certainly a Championship quality player and would thrive in an environment where the load was taken off him occasionally.
I had the feeling towards the end of last season that maybe he had me had his fill here for some reason - maybe the vocal minority who expected him to chase and run and produce moments of quality every game took its toll; he certainly seemed to have a bit of a disconnect with the crowd even though I get that he isn’t the most extrovert of players.
Will be a shame if he goes but it may well be the right move for both parties.17 -
I’m honestly happy for TC to leave. I think it’s too far gone with the relationship with the fans. Since he was booed a couple times his attitude isn’t there and I kind of don’t blame him.
Grant and Alli are two good options on the right, and I’d wish him luck in the future.2 -
Did make me laugh that one of the comments in response to a Preston fan asking for opinions was that “he doesn’t track back”. It’s like people watch a different player sometimes22

If we let TC go to a relegation rival that’s a bit concerning5
-
Not really fussed about TC if he don't want to sign a new contract then we need to cash in asap same goes for Ramsey. Only one I’d allow to run their contract down would be Jones as he is irreplaceable.1
-
This is not the sexy signing a new player from abroad Monday that I was expecting18
-
If we use the TC funds to bolster our midfield options then I'm not too bothered to see him gone to be honest.
I've never rated him particularly highly so would be disingenuous to claim this is a huge mistake by the club.2 -

Would be very surprised to see TC go. One comment on a forum from a Preston fan doesn't change that.9

The season before, with Small on the opposite wing, the creative burden was shared, and I think that really suited a young, relatively shy player who was still developing. It's quite ironic that, if he does end up at Preston, he could have the same player on the other flank again.
If he's only got a year left on his contract and Preston are desperate to get bodies through the door, they might be willing to add a few extra noughts to the fee. If that's the case, it probably makes sense to sell.
If he does go, good luck to him. He's been a great servant and I hope it works out.

I mean it’s far more likely that their fans know what’s happening within the club.cafcsinger said:Would be very surprised to see TC go. One comment on a forum from a Preston fan doesn't change that.No smoke without fire and all that.1 -
I’d be pretty gutted if TC went to any other team, but selling him to a team we’ll be battling against to avoid relegation would seem reckless.

Why would it mean that? We're clearly already looking for a RW and if TC goes we'd have two LW. I don't think we'd be looking for an additional winger. The only way we start the season with 5 wingers is if TC staysTheSE7 said:Be glad to see the back of TC personally. Can be a bright spark at times but is more often frustrating and lacks end product. If he’s refusing to sign a deal then good riddance. This just means that surely we’ll be in the market for another winger.1 -

Stop panicking everyone. By the end of the week we will have signed five players.
First, Dykes realises no-one else wants him and agrees to resign.
Secondly, Coady convinces his old lady that Chislehurst is not a bad place to live and resigns for another year on loan.
Thirdly, young Chambers can't wait to get back to the bright lights of London and resigns for another year on loan.
Fourthly, Dobson realising that no strange foreign team -and I include Wrexham in that - wants him agrees to return "home".
And lastly, Campbell, confusing Preston with Manchester, goes off to spend more time in the northern capital of the world. We replace him with JRS.
Five new players. OK strictly speaking they are not new players but you know what I mean.8 -
Weird signing for PNE if true, and hardly a move "up" for TC either, I'd imagine they'd need to overpay to get him based on how Jones sees him as an integral part of how we play, regardless of how many of our fans agree.
Ronnie will be pleased though1 -
Thread is also full of stupid comments to be fair. Saying we've been linked with wingbacks, that he's never played wingback and that he's had verbal altercations with fans. All said with the authority of being 100% trueValley11 said:

If there’s cash on the table and taking into consideration Campbell seemingly reluctant to sign a new contract then the club are almost obliged to at least seriously consider it. I’d accept the bid as long as it’s within the frame of what we consider acceptable. Charlton cannot afford for a player worth reasonable money to walk for nothing in less than a years time.cafcsinger said:Would be very surprised to see TC go. Just thinking of Ronnie once He hears this Campbell news, by any chance does anyone know the world record for faps In an hour as it could be In danger of being broken ?3
-
Most normal clubs would look to move on and cash in on a player in the last year contract and not willing to sign an extension so I would take this as a good sign that we are now at least a semi-normal club these days (still not something I'm entirely comfortable accepting yet).
If this is indeed true and we do move TC on for a somewhat decent amount, we move on and he goes with my best wishes.3 -
Would be really disappointed if TC went. He's our best player going forward and I don't believe we can replace him adequately at this stage.17
-
Would be surprised by TC to Preston, can only assume he'd be going for a better wage which you'd have thought we were prepared to match considering Jones sees him as one of our best players

Has anyone checked in on Ronnie?5
-
I don't have anything against TC, he's put in some decent shifts for us, played out of position, but his lack of end product can be simply infuriating.
Best for all involved if he moves on. Actually think he could do better in a better team/system.
PS Buy some midfielders asap.1 -
TC is not going anywhere.2
-
Don't massively rate him, but in a team severely devoid of quality players he has a spark in him that others don't. We're seriously undercooked as it is, with where this team is at, letting him go now would be ridiculous.11

Shocked if we sell TC but makes sense if he’s not willing to sign a new deal1
