Just a thought but Tom Iorpenda's last game for Notts County was at RW. I'm sure he could play anywhere across the front four, or deeper. A 21yo Aribo.
Not a better love story on Charlton Life than the absolute obsession you have with a bang average player.
My last obsession with a young player was Thelo Aasguard. He went on to do quite well. Bang average, have you even seen Iorpenda play?
No, your last obsession with a young player was Lennon Maclorg. You wouldn't obsessing over his height. Yeah, Iorpenda was okay, in League Two...Shall we re-sign Jaiyesimi as well?
Never heard of Lennon Maclorg. Seems to be a short-arse keeper. Source? Are you targeting the right poster?

Im not sure a single post amounts to an obsession, although I do hate short keepers. What is your problem with me?
What is your obsession with Iorpenda?
He is a more than decent player, only 21 who can play in several positions, has loads of talent and sell on potential.

Please explain why he is 'bang ordinary'? But please watch his YouTube 15sec goal before you comment.

Everyone laughing at Redmond just remember when rumours of Coady joining everyone was deflated saying his "legs had gone" "Be like watching forest gump play football" "hasn't played for Wrexham he is finished". Look at the Impact he had if it wasn't for him we may have gone down I think.
Most of those comments were from Wrexham and Leicester. Majority of the fanbase appreciated his experience and leadership which would be vital in a relegation battle as arguably one of the best captains in English football, what we didn’t expect was for him to come in and do a solid job in midfield and be a regular starter. He also played in a central position where pace can be masked better.

We are no longer in a relegation battle, our players now have that experience + signed players like Grant/Alli/Mcnamara with that experience and Redmond isn’t Coady when it comes to leadership

Thinking about the middle of the park we 100% need two CM's and then a decent RW.

Yes, I know this has been done to death. Just getting one wont cover us for the season.

I would also like to go a day without reading Hoslgove.
Very worrying to hear Nathan saying we are only in for 1. We need 2.

Another day without a new central midfielder

Said many times people want the  club to keep everyone in the know and moan if they don’t yet how many times NJ has talked about calm in this window given the quality of player we are going after and it may take longer .. the window don’t shut for a while yet you would think it closed tomorrow ..

They can’t afford a fee for Kanu and only enquired if he was available to loan.

The memories of playing Stockley up front on his own while isolated and lacking runners from midfield sends shivers up my spine.

Good in the air but immobile and technically poor (to put it politely). Also moany and lazy. Not for me.

I’ve only skim read, but it seems we’ve signed Iorpenda, MaClorg and Stockley. Also  a couple of people  have birthdays and they are meeting for drinks at some point.

My thinking was Stockley to knock it down for Kanu. That would score enough goals to stay in L1

Really... I think I was being kind. What former or current Charlton player would you say is technically poor?

Yeah I think our perception of him was coloured at least in part by playing him as a lone striker. As you said, dark times. I thought his ability to control it on his chest and bring others into play seemed to be alright, but I never really felt like he justified the expenditure on him at that level.

So far being the operative words. So far I’d agree. But the window hasn’t closed yet. Let’s see what rabbits get pulled out the hat between now and the window closing. In my opinion there is still a hell of a lot to do.

I’m not sure many at league one or champ level
can be considered technically poor. I think it’s a lazy description used sometimes for players who don’t fit a system or who just haven’t played very well.

No one at this level is poor technically. They wouldn’t have made it otherwise

Stockley being so shit made the arrival of Leaburn to first team affairs seem like the second coming of Van Basten.

Well that's why you don't agree Stockley is technically poor!

I disagree, by the way. Some players have fantastic technique for the level, and some have poorer technique, but often make up for it in other areas. It's the same for practically every skillset in football.

No it really hasn’t. Cover signed for both FB positions. Cover/long term replacement for Bell at CB. Wide options that mean you cant nullify our entire attacking play by double marking Campbell. We've lost a couple of fringe players but despite gossip lost no one who we'll actually miss that much.

There is a lot more we need to do and its hardly the best window ever but woeful is way off the mark.

It hasn’t our signings have been sensible and smart, we’re just missing a few more pieces.

How do you think Blackburn feel only signing fevrier
