So far so good. Doing so much better than I expected. Chambers and Gilly need to be careful though. Not been following the thread but with VAR I think that would have been a sending off. Also think comms not giving their keeper enough credit for the Kelman save.0

Very happy with that.
45 minutes with that side out is great0 -
Gough has impressed, Carey looking decent on the ball and both strikers providing an outlet on the break.Fairly pleased considering I thought we would be at least a couple down by half time when I saw the lineup. COYR2

A little Dykes flick on late on for the smash n grab.Scoham said:All that space on the counter is made for TC5 -
All feels a bit England v San Marino with us having about 25% possession.0-0 is great so far and I’ll jump around like House of Pain if it’s that at the final whistle.Oxford winning, WBA winning, we’ll be just a few points off relegation again. Utter bastard league this!3

Boro are a class team, and with our changes for this game, we've done superbly so far.2
-
Well amazingly we've got to half time level despite being pretty much outplayed throughout!
That said, fair play to them all for their effort, dogged defending and just downright you aren't going to pass attitude.
In fact, we could even be in front with that Kelman chance.
Wasn't this how the Ipswich game went? Hanging on desperately to half time and then scoring 3 in the second half. I'll take that tonight!4 -
Very good performance. You would expect Boro to dominate but we have covered well and passed out of defence well. I think Kelman and Leaburn have done well, good movement and been available, more of the same in the second half please.3

We’ve kept Barca sorry Boro at bay….cant say I like these tactics but it is what it is…. someone on this forum said if I want entertainment go to the cinema….1
-
Very decent. Great defending and sometimes playing it out from the back very nicely1

Well done boys - Charlie had a great chance too.
Keep it quiet for the first 15 after the break and who knows? We might even nick a point.
As long as we don’t gift them a goal, we are doing as best as we can

Somehow we survive till h/t. They have had several good chances, against our one.
The game plan, low block and hope for a quick break, is obvious. It is sort of working, but far from perfect. Hopefully the bookings for Chambers and Gillesphey don't come back to hurt us.
It will, I presume, be more of the same from us, while Boro will try to move the ball quicker, and probably shoot earlier.
I expect TC and probably Dykes to enter after 65 minutes or so, but few others unless we can keep a clean sheet till near the end. Does Jones bring on the first choice defence if so? I'm not sure we will ever know!

And which corner have we got please, from where the camera is positioned, anyone know?

Think we've done extremely well really and I think Kelman should've scored. Keep frustrating them.0

HT.
So far so good. Miraculously we had the best chance of the half. Can't really moan at Kelman as he was there & he got a shot on target. Keeper spread himself well but maybe could say Kelman could have put it inside the near post instead.
Poor set plays - 2 corners & 2 free kicks which were not put into the danger areas to be attacked.
Defending well but can't see us keeping them out all game. Only losing by 1 or 2 would be acceptable BUT only if we get something at Oxford. With them and WBA winning we could be in the sticky stuff again if we lose our next 2.3 -
As brownie mentions, leaving at least one up top is beneficial to relieving a little pressure. Not sure if TC would be used this game, but his pace would suit that role.0

A first half that shows that while Boro are a very good team, they're not so good that you can "write off" the chance of getting points here.1

Gawd the Middlesbrough fans are whingy on reddit, they should have had two pens and a red card with the referee absolutely useless, and are so pissed off by the style of Football that we're playing, its almost like they expect us to rock up and go toe to toe with them2

And yet somehow there's more moany whingers on here...ForeverAddickted said:Gawd the Middlesbrough fans are whingy on reddit, they should have had two pens and a red card with the referee absolutely useless, and are so pissed off by the style of Football that we're playing, its almost like they expect us to rock up and go toe to toe with them1 -
Britain feigning a broken leg to get a young lad a yellow card! He was fine 30 seconds later and even took the free kick! Fucking bellend2
-
Brilliant performance so far.Wouldn’t be surprised to see Chambers taken off at half time. We can’t afford any reds.
Think 5 of 6 from our bench of Ramsay, Bell, Campbell, Fevrier, JRC and Dykes will have a real impact if we can get to an hour!0 -

All well and good resting players but if we get beat tonight and Saturday it backfires1

A tough watch. Just inviting pressure and surprised Boro haven't scored.
Chambers deserved a red.2
