Other absolutely mad thing is Tuchel spent all this time basically saying we'd be better against better sides (rather than those dropping deep) as we were deliberately set up to counter, have runners get it behind Kane etc.
Then he threw all that out for 40 mins of basically a really narrow 6-4-04 -

The players have responsibility obviously,but Tuchels subs basically conceded posession for 30 mins. My missus told me off for being negative for saying if they score the momentum is with them and they score again.

Bad as it is I actually stopped bothering when TT made them subs with so much of the game to go…😡 ,Can’t defend for that long against an attacking team, Subs shoulda be Kane off Watkins on Rashford or Saka attack then bring on Burn /Konsa for last 5/10…😡 or pretty much any combination other than the fuck he did…

Our squad was definitely light in midfield, I suspect Henderson would have got decent minutes without that crazy broken arm. Though of course someone like Wharton should have been there anyway.

If we did make the call to drop deep and defend our 18 year box at the very least we needed to bring on (or leave on) some pace to run the channels and chase down clearances. It would have given them something to be concerned about and would have forced them to keep 1 or 2 back for much of that spell.
Instead we took off Gordon the only player with pace and just conceded the space. Saka, Watkins, Rashford anyone like that could have done the job. Kane is no use in that situation. Rogers and Bellingham just became extra CMs basically sat on our back line. Allowed them to double up on Spence.

Absolutely pathetic way to go out. For 55 minutes we were marginally the better side, then we scored and shit the bed.
Every single person in the pub could see we were defending too deep, inviting pressure and would be lucky to hold on. We had a couple of warnings, one was a good save from Pickford and one when they hit the post. Did we change anything to get us higher up the pitch and ease the pressure? Nope, we subbed off Gordon for Konsa and invited even more pressure.
We had at least 6 defenders on the pitch, absolutely zero pace up front, had Kane basically sat on the edge of our own D and were just letting Messi control the game. Wtf did Tuchel think was going to happen? He has lost us that game and to be honest i couldn't care less if he's sacked tonight.
And to make matters worse, after putting on almost every defender we had available, we then give a free header in the box to a striker who is 5ft 9 to head the winner.
We got what we deserved. Fuck Tuchel and fuck Argentina.12 -

Watching with mates in the pub and we all said after our goal they were getting closer and closer to an equaliser. So we carried on and they won it.
Not Kane. Not Pickford. But dumb management. I'm devastated. That was ours to lose and we did..
