    The windy city in mourning
  • The curse of the Billy Goat strikes again. And the Brewers are getting tonked. Oh the joy of being a Cardinals' fan eh Henry?
Looks like a fond return (not) to Fenway for Manny for the World Series.
  • Cubs have lost their first two games in the play-offs again. Tonight's is a must win game...
  • Bloody Cubs are useless, why I can't I ever pick a good team ;-)

My 'L' world series is going down the subway that is for sure.....

Aren't the Red Sox still meant to be paying his wages or similar.

    The Cards will rise again.

Chicago White Sox 0 v Tampa Bay Rays 2

After winning their two home games the Rays have to win just one of the next two in Chicago to progress

    Boston Red Sox 2 v L A Angels 0

The sox have won two games away so will be odds on to wrap it up at Fenway Park

    National League

    Millwalkee Brewers 0 v Philadelphia Phillies 2

The Phillies now have two "road" games to clinch the series

    --- Brooklyn Dodgers 2 v Chicago Cubs 0

The Cubies couldn't win at home so have a snowballs chance in LA. Ha ha.
  • Go Ray's.
  • Go Red Sox! Another homer for Bay as well. Anyone thinking it might be a Red Sox v Dodgers world series? Bay v Manny?
  • Yeeehaahhh!
Cubs swept 3-0 in first round of the post-season for the second year running, this time by the Dodgers.
    Shame isn't it? Tee hee....
    GO CARDINALS!!!!!!
  • Atlanta Braves for me.

Used to live in Richmond, Va and watch their 'AAA' team, the Richmond Braves.A lot of their players went on to win the World Series with Atlanta.

    Do you mind!
  • Go sox!

The rays will be a tough prospect, but if Beckett can stay healthy our rotation is better than theirs and I think we've got a chance.
  • Blue Jays for me, my Uncle lives in Toronto and sent me some merchandise as a nipper. Not got the slightest interest in rounders really though.
  • Bah. White Sox are out too. Think Rays will beat Sox & Dodgers will beat Phillies.

    Sox 1 v Rays 1 (best of 7 games)
Actually Henry, the Rays won at home in the Tropicana Dome on Saturday night. The series resumes at Fenway Park tonight, where the next 3 games will be played before returning to Tampa Bay for the final 2 games, if necessary.

    Sorry for being a pedant.

Oops must have misread the scores. That BRS@TBR thing always throws me by being the "wrong" way around.
  • Tampa Bay Rays 3 Boston Red Sox 1

Philadelphia Phillies 3 LA Dodgers 1
  • I Sky+ it last night.

Was watching a game the other day that went on til 1.30am their time. . . not sure I'd fancy sitting their that long.

    Go Phillies btw.
  • PHILLIES!!!
  • 4 - 1 Phillies. All over.
  • Sensational comeback from the Red Sox. Already 3-1 down in a best of 7 series, they were 7-0 behind in the 5th game last night after 7.5 innings. It looked all over & they were on the brink of elimination. However, they scored 8 runs in their last 3 innings to win the game 8-7. This was the 2nd best comeback EVER in a post season game. Final two games will now be played in Tampa Bay on Saturday & Sunday evenings. Still looks very tough for Boston but they are fighting hard.
