Oh, and cover bands. Play something original or show a DVD and go home.
So you don't think Beatles, Stones, Who etc songs should be heard live? Only the remaining members of theses iconic groups can play them? And what about the great classical composers? We're not allowed to hear their work live either? So the LSO are a cover band?
Dog owners that pick up/carry their dogs and then say "it doesn't like other dogs" Of course it don't, it's never had the chance to meet one. Every time it gets within 500 yards of meeting one its scooped off the floor!! It's called socialisation that's why there are puppy classes........ Yes, I had one in my one2one class yesterday, could've done with Curb_it and Tavern's yorkie Micky to straighten it out.

Yes, that's right Riviera. You've got it right that's nonsense, but the lighthearted fun nature of this long running thread may have passed you by here?

There is nothing lighthearted about this thread. It's one of my favourites and I have contributed to it as much as the next man. Now if there is a sub-thread about cover bands on here then I have not seen it. Half the fun of this thread is pulling up people on things they find annoying that you don't. Ok?

Well I'm delighted to hear the classics dropped into a set. Maybe a set of nothing but classics/rarities/whatever from a range of bands is just fine and dandy. A cover band I refer to (and most people not spoiling for an argument I imagine) is a band like Talon pretending to be and playing only Eagles music. Or Dirty DC or Flabba, the Smyths, Rolling Stoned etc.
Play other people's music by all means, but my personal feeling, if it is OK with you, is that the 75% of bands filling most venues these days are just trying to bask in another band's glory and is a general thing that annoys me. Much prefer original music such as The Army of Skanks I saw tonight.
The rest of your post seems a bit unhinged frankly.

Cover bands and Tribute bands are two differentt entities. You could have saved yourself a lot of grief if only you'd got your terminology correct. As for the rest of my post, well there wasn't anything else, I only made one point.
People that put a smug Facebook status on a Sunday morning 'feeing fresh'
Oh well done you. You may feel good but did you sink 10 pints, abduct a midget and snort cocaine off a brasses arse crack the night before? No. So who's winning.

The whole site has become one big pile of wank. That is a very good example of the self indulgent shite that people feel the rest of the world need to hear about. No we definitely don't.
I'm only logging onto it at the moment to wish people happy birthdays. I was at a wedding on Saturday and I can just imagine the dross being posted on there. 'Best wedding ever'.

I've been off it for over 4 years now. Never been tempted to go back.

the trend of rival fans trolling ticket offices, just seen one of west brom fan ringing up the villa club shop asking if he can buy a shirt with the premier league badges on it, then laughing hysterically when she says were in the championship.
1. People who take ages at a cash point (what do they do there) some people should pay rent! 2. People who use their debit card for things around a pound? (have a minimum charge for £10.00 FFS) 3. People who use umbrellas when it's either not raining or they use it under covered area's when one is not needed if it is raining!!!, anyway umbrellas in general! 4. People who read a book whilst walking... (Yes not even a Kindle but a 'king book), even a Kindle if I think about it!! 5. People who all of a sudden stop when they're walking in front of you for no apparent reason. 6. People who area looking at their I-Phone whilst walking toward you oblivious to anyone approaching them!!! 7. Cliches (in the main office ones) like ''Heads up'' ''I'll run that up the flagpole'' ''Belts and Braces approach'' Please F*** off with your Americanised clichés. 8. People who say 'It was a quiet one' when asked how their Christmas was... !!! Hmmm.. 9. There maybe more but can't think of them at the moment!!!!

They kill beautiful song birds
poo all over my garden
rip up the rubbish sacks of other people and transport the debris to my garden
Apart from that I love them
