Can someone please get this ^^^^ off our national radio station. I have never known such a boorish, self opinionated, know nothing, ignorant idiot in all my life.
Who the f**k does he think he is?
Green's obsession with slating Beckham at every opportunity is just down right pathetic. He has hounded him for years. He almost took credit for when MacClaren dropped him and certainly reacted to his subsequent recall as if it was done against him personally.
He is doing the same with Rooney.
worse still the combination of alan green and graham turner , they just make listening to football so painful. generally ive stopped listening if greenie has anything to do with it
Can't bear Alan Green. He thinks the biggest story in the world is that Alex Ferguson won't talk to him, Taggart probably just finds him as tedious and self obsessed as the rest of us do.
if he was as good as he thinks he is he would have been snapped up by the bbc or sky or even setanta truth is he is shite, at least radio 5 swap comentators every 30 mins or so. martin tyler and andy gray still the best imo. jonathan pierce still abit ott for me, clive tydlesley is all alright on itv. motty is passed it sadly.
I cannot stand this bloke....as i don't have sky or satanta i listen to a lot of games on the radio and my heart sinks when he's commentating...if the games not very good he tells you every 5 seconds that it's not very good slags players off etc.. i just wish he'd **** off!

Green is a prize cnut. I used to find him quite refreshing in the early days but he started to believe his own press etc and that was it.
Heard the first 10 mins of the commentary on Saturday and he just couldn't wait to get stuck in, couldn't wait for the players to play negatively so he could kick-off.
As for Mike Ingham, he's a good commentator but listen to him in pre/post match mode and he takes the whole thing wayyyy too seriously. When England lose he comes on sounding like he's about to announce the death of the monarch!
[cite]Posted By: bingaddick[/cite]I like him - emotionally there's no one better on radio.
Maybe , just wish he spent less time being so fecking negative
I agree he can be negative but he operates at an emotional level and that means he expresses how he feels. If things aren't right his emotional response comes over negatively but if thing go well he's equally positive.
Adam he has been snapped up by the BBC that is who owns 5 live! Alex Ferguson won't speak to him after Green criticised him or Man U, not sure which, with Greens over the top approach and Ferguson's sensitivity it was never going to work. My problem with Green is he is so self opinionated. can't stand his comments about Referees and Linesmen during matches, i know we all moan about there decisions but he seems to have taken on a personal crusade to demean, undermine and humiliate them without ever giving them the right to reply. Last night he continued to say how he saw nothing wrong with the challenge on Cole and he has a continual "love in" "boys together with Lawrenson" on top of that he laughs at his own jokes when no one else finds them funny.
Alan Green is a Liverpool supporter....and doesn't it show!! Jonathan Pearce is excellent, gets better every year, absolute passion for football, with knowledge, and the finger on what makes a fan tick. Alan Green does not give a toss about anybody outside the top half of the prem, he is always patronising in the extreme, and he is motivated by opportunities to get the most glam gigs, and sulks if he has to slum it...lives in the bubble of media, and thinks he is a 'personality'. Alan Green reminds me of my brother, except my brother has a human head!
He's married to a Palace fan, his kids are Palace and while Bristol City may have been his first team his love of all things red and blue shines through very clearly when commenting on Charlton.

Like the rest of the media I'm afraid. Had to smile when Gerrard went for his recent op, RAFA TELLS CAPELLO WHO'S BOSS thundered the Torygraph. If it were Arsenal, Utd etc they would accuse them of treason. I await their scorn at Gerrards miraculous recovery, no doubt they'll be dancing in the streets. United will still stuff 'em, why they can't see Benitez is taking them nowhere I can't see.
He's upsetting colleagues at 5Live again apparently.
The bigheaded bigmouthed prat decided not travel down to Wembley on Saturday until lunchtime. Booked on a 1pm flight from Manchester which was subsequently delayed, and he didn't arrive till half time. It has been reported in the Daily Mail that his co-workers are unimpressed by his lack of professionalism. They reckon he should have been down in London the day before to at least have attended Capello's PC.
One good thing is that we had Mike Ingham do the whole of the 1st half commentary.
Also in the Daily Mail they say he has fallen out with presenter Mark Saggars and will not speak to him. This apparently goes back to last seasons CL final in Moscow where Saggars went to Fergies Pc rather than escort Green back to the BBC coach past a load of Utd fans. Green was scared the Utd fans might abuse him! Of course he couldn't go to Fergies PC could he?
This bloke is such an arse. So full of his own self importance. I really cannot stand arrogant sods like him and others.
Comments
The prime example being this twerp - Ray Hudson.
Listen to that & tell me you wouldn't be pining for Green, Motty & the rest.
Let's stay together - Classic!
Come on Engerland! On the ball!
He is doing the same with Rooney.
I guess 5 Live feel they need to have a "star" in their line-up, but they really don't need one.
YES! Just did it!
Who the f**k does he think he is?[/quote]
spot on , trouble is, he thinks he so great

Still a thousand times better than Jonathan "glad all over" Pearce
with his rose and blue glazed spectacles.
He has passion, knows what he is talking about and doesn't talk in cliches likes thousands of other football morons who get jobs in punditry.
He tells it like it is and its refreshing.
Not according to Henry, and I thought it was Bristol Rovers?

I stand corrected.
His son is an addick too.
