Will be interesting to see how the new format of the lower ranked team having the first 2 home games works out. I always reckoned it was a disadvantage for the higher ranked teams to play the first 2 at home (as they still shall in the Pennant decider). It depends how you look at it but there's big pressure on the home side to win Games 1 & 2. Another reason it's harder for the Wild Cards this season IMHO. Go Cards.
Having fun here in Baltimore, (for a change) can't wait 'til Sunday.
Spank those Yanks. Orioles v Cards World Series would be a real hoot (and something of a miracle given how the deck's stacked against the Wild Cards now). Can't see the Cards making it past the Nats (Game 1 10pm tonight on ESPN America - followed by Yanks at Orioles at 1am) though hopefully my prediction will be about as accurate as some others posted on here in recent days ;o) Go Redbirds and Orangebirds.
Cards spank Nats 12 - 4 and Baltimore edge Yanks 3 -2 to level both best of five series. New York and Washington now have home advantage for the last three games (if needed)
Cards do it again. 8 - 0 over the Nats. First post-season game in Washington for 79 years and they get stuffed. Could have been different if the Nats hadn't left so many runners on base.
Giants beat the Reds to tie the series at 2 - 2. Bizarrely the Reds tannoy played the "come on, come" riff from "I'm the leader of the Gang". Don't they realise that that is a Gary Glitter song.
Yanks 2 -1 up on Baltimore
Oakland A's have come from 2 - 0 to tie the best of five series 2 - 2 against Detroit.
Really enjoyed the Reds/Giants & Nats/Cards games last night, hoping to catch most of the Nats/Cards & Yankees/Orioles deciders tonight. As a Dodgers fan I'm no great lover of the Giants but fair play to them for winning all 3 in Cincinnati having lost the first 2 at home. Nats/Cards was a great pitching duel last night but anything could happen tonight. Personally would like to see a Nats/Tigers or Orioles World Series but at the moment I would probably go for Giants/Yankees.
Having been able to watch any of the games this week after last Friday evening's craziness in the ATL......still makes me sick thinking about it now!
Got to say the standard of umpiring (just from watching the Cards games this post-season) has been pretty woeful. Obviously a difficult job but that "infield fly" call in Atlanta was obviously nonsense and the vagaries of Jim Joyce's strike zone last night were truly bizarre.

Game 3 of Tigers v As and Reds v Giants tonight

Let's go Giants!!!
Lose to Nats off a Home Run bottom of the 9th to make it 2 - 2.
Always a game away from an exit or so it seemed.
Tigers thru to face either Baltimore of the Damn Yankees
All four DS match ups going to five games.
Come on you Redbirds.
How do the Cards keep on doing it.
Tigers v Cards WS still on.
HAPPY FLIGHT, HAPPY FLIGHT.
Sorry couldn't resist
Jeter out of the post-season with a broken ankle, A-Rod couldn't hit a beach ball, such a shame.
However he's a big loss to the Yankees so Detroit will see it as a weakening of their opponents.
Tigers take a 2 nil lead back to Detroit after winning the first two in the Bronx.
