We always will be number one in south London
Unfortunatly for Palace, our attendences are in decline, and have been for several years now. We need something major such as a new owner to make the Selhurst faithful return. However our attendences now have stabilised, and so I see them averaging around the 14k mark.
Charlton however find themselves at the beginning of the same decline, and you need to quickly get out of division 3. The longer you stay there, the more the fans will dissapear.
So if you don't go back up soon, not only will Palace still be South Londons number one, but we'll also have the higher attendences.
Well Budge this is our 4th season of decline, with two relegations and in need of new owners. But then again, we're all plastic, premiership loving gloryboys aren't we ?? All 16k of us....

Well if Charlton are still at the beginning of the decline then we will be in trouble in years to come, last season we consistently attracted more fans to the Valley than Palace did at Selhurst, and now we are doing so in a lower division. I think your boasting is ringing a little hollow...
[cite]Posted By: pilchard[/cite]Maybe they are above us for the now- but in size and class terms they will forever be spitting our dust. And I will add End of to that as well!
Sorry pilchard, everything goes in cycles, its not that long Palace were undenyably SL's number one, and Charlton blew us away under Curbs when you were the club most teams aspired to be, unfortunatly Murray has been found out, and you aren't that 'well run club' you were.

Everything goes in cycles? Well, your support goes on a tandem - if that's what you mean!

We're well run enough to go out and buy a player tomorrow.

What have you heard then?.
*Note to self - think before posting......transfer embargo.
The only bright spot about relegation was knowing we'd still get better crowds than the nigels. But you have got to bear in mind that the majority of our support are forcibly bussed in from gillingham on the promise of seeing wayne rooney.........oh no we're just a lot bigger, and better than palace. What a joke they are

We've several you could have, you do seem to enjoy Palace old boys, they just don't always seem to work out for you though.
We don't seem to have problems with the players we get from you, they all seem to get on reasonably well, although its a bit early to say for Ambrose, he did well pre season, but picked up a knock. If and when the embargo is lifted, any suggestions? we're a little light up front, so a striker would be handy.

ha ha ha ........... embargo lifted .......... LOL yeah right ! Seriously though, Simon is doing his best based on his "cost saving" return to the UK yesterday. A few more penny savers and he might even have enough to get Neil Shipperley out of retirement for you.

Ambrose, a knock? Surely not.
You better hope that Jordan pays his bills in the next 3 weeks otherwise it will be too late to get anyone in. Sears is a gamble, Lee is rubbish, John will be out for 6 weeks and Moses is off.

Great example of subject changing to avoid the point there.
difficult to have a go at how murray runs our club with a transfer embargo going on at your own.
Ah Budgie, delightful to have you back old chap. I would still even now rather have the "found Out" Richard Murray than the repulsive sleazy attention seeking Simon Jordan any day of any week. So we were bollocks last year and got relegated, there is no one on here who would argue that we deserved any other fate than that, Palace hardly set the earth on fire either and had a distinctly mundane season, could be that way again perhaps. What do Palace have to show for their supposed time as South London's number one?? By my reckoning since they first hit the top division 40 odd years ago they have never managed to stick around for very long, so Palace's succesful period was 1989 to 1993, four whole years of being a reasonably decent side with a decent stike force, since then they have made the odd guest appearance at the top table and always for 1 season at a time delivering little and being quickly forgotten about. So Charlton are below Palace for now- just look at it as a your little moment to shine because you have waited so timidly for it all these years, we will be back to spank you again very soon, welcome back to your favourite website!(sorry to hear about Darren's little knock)

What has been "found out" about Richard Murray? Next time you go to the Valley take a look around you, the ground is and will be a lasting monument to his achievements. It is Simon Jordan who has been found out - after making a fortune on selling mobile phones his ego wouldn't let him rest and enjoy his wealth in anonymity and what better to buy a football club? Except that little dream has turned sour and is getting sourer by the day.
Maybe Richard Murray isn't as wealthy as Jordan is, or was, but he has the one thing that Simon Jordan can only dream about and which money can't buy - class.

they can't even wet their pants at a possible victory over us only to get beat again.

we've spent 25 seasons in the top flight compared to your 13 and have won a trophy which you lot haven't
let's be honest even wimbledon can claim to more than you lot of stripey nigels

There are no ex Palace players in our squad - we've learnt our lesson there.
