28-0 off 8 overs which, compared to some starts last week on extremely slow tracks, is positively "20/20" by comparison.
No place for DBD and not sure about Geraint at 6 and Tredders at 7. Obviously Coles can bat at 9 but would like to see another batsman in the top six as we seem to have at least 6 front line bowlers in the side.

Will be especially good for my son to see both the Adams (Ball and Riley) get some games this season as he plays for the same Club (Bexley) as them. Albeit that he is some 10 years younger!
Team looks a bit lightweight this season - full of other counties rejects...Shreck,Davies,Powell,Stevens. Who's Calum Haggett?
He's a 22 year old all rounder signed from Somerset. Was in the same England U19 side as Joe Root and Jos Butler.
Understand what you say about "rejects" but the likes of Shreck, Davies and especially Stevens have done superbly for us and in our sad financial state is as good as we can realistically expect.
186-4. Northeast (15), Key (41, Nash (50) and Powell (25) have all got in without making the most of it. Stevens (25) and Jones (19) now at the crease.

Every one pretty much chipped in with runs but no one really went on to get a big one! Very good start to the new season, looking forward to seeing how haggett does with the ball.

Highly thought of - from somerset, England U19 international but missed a season with a heart defect, which is hopefully fixed now. He played some second XI cricket at the end of last season for Kent, on the back of that Kent have given him a two year deal. Bats LH, bowls RA medium quick.

95-2 now. Key out for 41.
There were times last season we didn't even manage that.
Big opportunity for Haggett to make a statement.
