  • Went to see Olympus has fallen tonight, fairly predictable film, take your brain out and leave it at the door, high on the F word count , anyone seen Iron Man 3 yet?
  • Iron Man 3...really enjoyed it, best of all three films......Ben Kingsley stole the show...excellent cameo.
  • It was a while ago but saw side effects instead of trance and was pleased that I think we chose the right film. Anyone else seen it? Thought it was great. Never been a Jude law fan but it was v enjoyable. Hooked till the end.

  • "The Hunt" and "Searching for Sugarman" are by far the two best movies of the last year. Very different but both moving and both superb.

Refreshing absence of American special forces "trained to kill", 3D special effects and puke inducing flag waving & tear jerking endings too.
  • Have seen two movies in last 48 hours, Star Trek into darkness on Thursday, which was an adrenalin rushing blast from start to finish, Benedict Cumberbatch, I salute you sir for such a convincing portrayal of a very twisted man. That movie seemed to finish a little too hastily, but that was my only criticism, otherwise, action, humour, some very dark moments and many a phasor on stun.....! Have tried to attach a pic of Alice Eve (Dr Carole Marcus) and I at the Premiere. She is a real babe.

Last night, my dear patient wife agreed to go see Iron Man 3 and as another above has said, the best of the trilogy. Pretty serious for the most part, but like Star Trek, terrorism is at the centre of the story arc and it isn't easy making that too amusing. Action sequences are spectacular, particularly in IMAX 3D. Stay til the very end to glimpse a cameo from one of our other Marvel superhero faves (though it is not a trailer......).

Sounds like its gunna be more like your birthday than hers with that film choice ;)
  • Watched Quartet and 7 Psychopaths the other night. Thought Quartet was fantastic - classic British gentle comedy with top quality cast. 7 Psychopaths good too if slightly overlong and a bit too sure of itself but again good cast and it keeps you interested.

Go easy on Searching for Sugarman,I was told it was a 'brilliant' film.

It was alright, nothing more. There were actors in it . . .

  • I want to go see Star Trek in the DBox seats at O2, but they only seem to be available for Ironman. I dont want to see Ironman !

Yes, you are missing something. It's not his wife.
  • Just watched Parker and found it entertaining. Statham does what Statham does best and Jennifer Lopez is surprisingly good.

Yeah we waited for the burger bar scene...very funny

  • Erm, are there alternate endings to Iron Man 3's credits then? I didn't see a burger bar scene. I saw a scene in on a couch in an apartment - no burgers in sight....
  • Wasn't the burger bar scene at the end of Avengers Assemble?
  • Jack Reacher...expected more

Youre 100% correct mate I watched the Avengers the night after.....my mistake.

I think you'll get more, how many more sequels have they got planned now Tom Cruise has bought the franchise to the Lee Childs books?

Didnt know that, this was based on single shot I believe.

Actually, whether you believe me or not, my inner sleuth worked out the shooting scene and who died for what reason once the victims were described etc, including (spoiler alert) man with flowers and blonde woman, which when revealed I suppose spoiled it for me, didnt think the plot line was tight enough.

  • Just Seen Star Trek Into The Darkness and i loved it. Fantastic story and some superb special affects . JJ Abrahams has surpassed himself. Definitely the best Star Trek movie ever made. 9 out of 10
