    There you go.

Why do we only sign players with relatives in the game?  Proof if ever it was needed.

Aiden, are you the Aiden who was in the box at MK Dons with me?

Why is it that every time I mention to people at work that we're signing Xabi Alonso's brother they laugh?. Let's hope he's better than George Weah's cousin!!

Not sure why, but it obviously means that we have to sign one of the Toure brothers, so that's a positive, and no, I'm not talking drugs test results.

Nope, that's not me, I'm afraid.

And we were linked to Zak Ansah, son of Andy.

    It's a conspiracy I tells ya.

We will never sign a player who isn't related to another footballer ever again.

Does anyone know if Zak Ansah will definitely join on loan next season?

Andy said they were looking to make a loan move in the summer in a programme article back in March, I think.

So not definite, just a possibility.

But his Godfather is someone high up at Charlton : - )

Only if his dad agrees to join and play centre half.

Yes I remember reading the article in a programme. & Yes, I know Powell is his godfather. :-) I hope it happens because what I know of him through reading about him and asking people from school who know him personally, he is a very talented young footballer. By the sounds of it, he would be a good addition to the team if it happens.

I don't know about Leroy but I wouldn't mind having Curtly Ambrose's brother up front.  6ft 7".  Just the sight of Curtly frightened our batsmen sh*tless so maybe his kid brother could do the same to opposition defences.

I saw him play for Tenerife against Anaconda during a trip to Madrid in April. I didn't think he played particularly well.

Against that, a Man City supporting husband and wife, who have retired to the island and travel to see all Tenerife's games, certainly rated him. Indeed, they attributed many of the team's problems to the refusal of management to play him until the appointment of their latest new manager in the Spring (the club's fourth of the season).

He's bound to want to escape the regional 3rd division and its crowds of a few hundred. The agent will be trying to stimulate interest, although I think the SLP are carrying the story, so there may be something in it.

I hope this turns into a debate about the virtues of Semedo and Racon as I don't think we've covered that on Charlton Life.
Absolutely. If you'd all just trusted me in the first place rather than needing CP to confirm what the main problem with the team was

I heard both Sam Sodje and Akpo have been possibly invited back to Sparrows Lane - to fight for their place and add that competitive edge to the squad.

You heard it here first, but no doubt will be on Football Rumours tomorrow.

And this of course explains why we have Gus Poyet lined up as next manager, since his son is already at the club.  Is this the plan New York Addick was getting at??  I actually think we have been taken over by the Mormons.

I mis read that that first time and thought Weegie was suggesting we'd been taken over by the Moomins which would be a big problem to me as they used to freak me out as a child, that series was way too sinister, especially that big purple thing:

Actually, now I look at that Moomin thing, it looks a bit like Bobbie Elliot, perhaps we could stick it in goal?

If it were true- I think we missed Sam Sodje last season but we missed a fit Sam not a crocked one.

Loved the Moomins as a kid. Read a thing about them on a Christian website recently that made me think again though:

    http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=61771

Feel sick that I got forced to read them by my (non-Christian) parents now. I guess nothing from our childhood is as innocent as we think :(

LOL ... is Alphonse for real? what a strange life he must lead.
