"His experience at Bolton started well but a change of management didn't help. Now he has signed we can now look to get the best out of him and see what role suits him best."

Doesn't sound like Powell knows exactly how he wants to use him yet? Might depend on who else we get in?
    I reckon playmaker, Scoham.

But I make you right, it sounds like  it's perhaps Vetere who has done the homework.

This puts the Racon / Semedo debate into perspective. I would love Michael Stewart to play alongside him .This signing really excites me.Maybe Vetere might pull another rabbit out of the hat.The club have managed the publicity very well deflecting attention from Racon's departure.

Was SHG who suggested Vetere was probably behind it, I agree though.

How many people have actually seen this bloke play?. He seems to have been lauded as some sort of messiah already.

Think we should probably wait until we have seen him play before getting too excited.

Hopefully he'll turn out to what people are assuming he is.

I've seen him play a few times for both Real Sociedad and Tenerife

Have to say provided he can settle in (which should be ok given he speaks English and has twice before spent prolonged periods in the country) he will be a couple of notches above what we have seen at The Valley in the last few seasons (Shelvey aside) in terms of technical ability.  He isn't a holding midfielder or an out and out attacking midfielder but he moves the ball well and is the kind of player that could really be a linchpin in the side, in exactly the same way as his brother is albeit obviously at a far higher level. Has played over 100 la liga games. That kind of experience and quality really makes him a great addition in my opinion.

You've seen him play so I respect your opinion. Hope he works out.

Can I be the first to suggest 'He ain't Xabi, he's his brother'?

Genius if only we could get the harmonies

    His hair is long
    with many a winding run
who knows where, who knows when
    but he can pass
    and he can score
    he aint Xabi
    He's his brother

Very pleased with this signing. Although i rated Racon he was too inconsistent and i doubt he will be missed.

    HE'S NOT FROM TENERIFE

Good signing by the way, did well at Bolton.  Will give us a bit of class lacking in this division, in a way that Stewart did, without being such a ginger mercenary.
