Albums without a duff track.

Always enjoy the non footy threads the best!
Can't include "Best of..." albums either. Doesn't say much for a band if their greatest hits album has filler.
Stone Roses debut springs to mind straight away, always sounds fresh & arrogant. Can't believe that's 23 years ago!
Queen is Dead - Smiths
Deserters Songs - Mercury Rev
Urban Hymns - The Verve
Nervermind - Nirvana. Again 20 years ago - what a waste. In Seattle recently, went to an Nirvana exhibit, so listening to them alot again. Check out Live at Reading.
If I should Fall from Grace with God.... The Pogues
London Calling - The Clash.
Stay Positive - The Hold Steady

Origin of symetry- Muse.

One problem with this is that the very best albums are ambitious and innovative. Consequently they take risks, consequently they are liable to fall below their otherwise exceptional standard at least once. Also, you're bound to have favourite tracks on your favourite albums and one or two others will sound a bit duff by comparison even if they would be perfectly fine in less exalted company.Anyway, with those caveats -Pavement - 'Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain'Mountain Goats - 'Tallahassee'The Beatles - 'Revolver'Joni Mitchell - 'Blue'Paul Simon - 'Paul Simon'Bob Dylan - 'Highway 61'0

Gotta agree with Ziggy Stardust, even though I'm not a big fan. Same goes for the Stone Roses. I agree you can't put a greatest hits album on this list. Feel free to challenge some assertions.
For example I think Led Zep are the greatest band ever, on a subjective level I would include them all, but earlier somebody mentioned Led Zep 3, an album with 'Since I've Been Lovin You' on(!!!!), however on the acoustic side of that album is 'That's the Way', which is overlong to say the least.
The Velvet Underground Warhole double album is flawless in my eyes, but can easily see where it might be picked apart for well founded reasons.
Be tough with yourselves folks.

No - Loved THE single and a mate bought the album Moontan - I recorded it on reel-to-reel (look it up young'uns!) and recently converted it to MP3. I was looking for it on CD, which is when I discovered that some CD versions have different track listings. Great band, Golden Earring, hugely underrated, but not commercial enough maybe?

Agree about Led Zep generally not having recorded a bad song. Certainly agree with Is This It - the Strokes.
Death Cab for Cutie - Narrow Stairs
Daft Punk - Discovery
Muse - Origins of Symmetry (saw it performed at Reading and it was too good. Can't get over it at this present time.)
The xx - xx
Rage Against the Machine - Battle of Los Angeles
I've attempted to be as impartial as possible.
