Agree about Led Zep generally not having recorded a bad song. Certainly agree with Is This It - the Strokes.

Death Cab for Cutie - Narrow Stairs

    Daft Punk - Discovery

Muse - Origins of Symmetry (saw it performed at Reading and it was too good. Can't get over it at this present time.)

    The xx - xx

Rage Against the Machine - Battle of Los Angeles

I've attempted to be as impartial as possible.

    Urban Hymns  - The Verve

Yes that was my first thought
    Moontan - Golden Earring.

And that should have been my first thought. You an ex Radio Nordsee listener, Saga Lout?

I offer you the first three albums of Bruce Hornsby & the Range. Timeless class which I still play regularly
No - Loved THE single and a mate bought the album Moontan - I recorded it on reel-to-reel (look it up young'uns!) and recently converted it to MP3. I was looking for it on CD, which is when I discovered that some CD versions have different track listings. Great band, Golden Earring, hugely underrated, but not commercial enough maybe?
That's interesting, I'll have to check them out.
I only know Radar Love; which is IMO the best driving song ever. Period. FACT

Trouble is, it's all so subjective
I'd argue that every track on the Thin Lizzy album is crap (no filler or novelty just a bunch of ordinary songs); particularly set against, say, Revolver which you might disqualify due to Yellow Submarine.

    Getting into the spirit ,these:-
    Sgt Pepper - The Beatles
    Revolver - The Beatles
    Beggars Banquet - The Stones
    Something Else - The Kinks
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn - Pink Floyd
    Stand Up - Jethro Tull
    The Yes Album - Yes
    Harvest - Neil Young
    Led Zeppelin III
    Rattus Norvegicus - The Stranglers
    Sheet Music - 10cc
Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys
Automatic for the People - REM

Yep defo agree with Rattus...although i might be biased ;)

    A couple of mine are:

    Absolution-Muse
    Sleeping with Ghosts-Placebo
    Pure-Gary Numan
    Bravery-The Bravery

Damned-Light At The End of the Tunnel

Sex Pistols-The Great Rock & Roll Swindle & Never Mind The B****cks

Stone Roses-Stone Roses (greatest album & band ever imo)

    OMD-greatest hits

Yes, hugely underrated, probably because they are Dutch, and there is a lot to check out. They actually started six months before the Beatles played their Hamburg gig, yet are still tramping round the Netherlands playing live. I would love to catch them again before we all get past it.

Whilst in the 'Sailors Arms' pub in Newquay..way back in 75/76 I heard a track called 'Close to the Edge'............absolutely loved it....went back to SE9 a few months later and bought the album (of the same name) it was by a band called 'Yes'......still one of my all time favourites!!
Anyway my top 10 of Albums without a duff track are-:

Close to the Edge - Yes
    Goodbye Cream - Cream
Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
    Complete Clapton - Eric Clapton
    Sgt Peppers - Beatles
Whats the Story Morning Glory - Oasis
    London Calling - Clash
    Diva - Annie Lennox
A Rush of Blood to the Head - Coldplay
    Revolver - Beatles

There are many others....but I'll stick with this..........for now!!!

Loads of (pretty worthy) mentions for Revolver, but point of order here....Yellow Submarine, does that really stack up against the rest of the album?

Might have to disallow Legend and Complete Clapton as they're greatest hits albums really.

Not about favourite albums, there is another thread for those, but ones where all the tracks are so listenable you just don't want to skip them.

    Low - Bowie
    Blue Valentine - Tom Waits
Goats Head Soup - The Rolling Stones
Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dylan

Ok Seth yes you raise a fair point.... therefore I'll swap Complete Clapton for 'Ocean Boulevard' - Eric Clapton
and Revolver for .....Bat out of Hell - Meatloaf.

I never skip any track on any albums I've mentioned....but agree that 'compilations' should not be included.

Bat Out of Hell is a good call. However what about that talking bit...'if I offered you my throat'?

I notice a few "greatest Hits" compilations mentioned. Surely they shouldn'l be allowed as they are not supposed to have duff tracks.

Most of my choices have been mentioned but I'll add

Fog on the Tyne - Lindisfarne
    The Original Soundtrach - 10cc
    Zeppelin IV
    Beggars Banquet - Rolling Stones

You can probably guess the ages of most members on here by their choices!
