Despite the above, it's hard to ignore Powell's voice in the back of your head warning against any signs of complacency. After, it's almost 83 years since Charlton won away at Exeter.
What's more, the Grecians' current league position probably belies their talent, and recent results have been far from shabby. Although 18th, City are unbeaten in four games, have the fifth best home defence in the league, and have conceded just one goal in their last four matches at St James' Park.
not going to be easy by any means!0 -
Thanks CE. I won't lie, I'm confused but I'll get someone onto it.0
-
Got a decent pub to watch the footy beforehand?0
-
can someone answer I_H_T, Sky & kid friendly!
cheers0 -
can you go from st davids to st james direct?0

Basically, if there weren't other buildings in between The 'Spoons and the station, you'd walk forwards & straight to it, but there are buildings, so you have to go round them.
The pub then isn't obvious because there is a large hilly green, which is the first thing you'd see, but the pub is at the top. It's only a 1 min walk up the tarmaced hill path. No TV I believe though as is a Spoons, but not 100% certain.0 -
can you go from st davids to st james direct?
yes, 1 stop 90p0 -
thanks0
-
Direct trains. Either:
1) Paddington direct to Exeter St Davids.
Change at Exeter St Davids for Exeter Central or St James.
2) Waterloo direct to Exeter Central (St Davids next stop further on).
Ground is easy walking distance from Exeter Central.

Alexander, look here. Yes you can & train times detailed. Even if you don't go with Syd Cheesewright, there's always a lot of useful info.

If I remember correctly St Davids is a 25 min walk, Central a 10 min walk & St James is virtually outside the ground.0 -

Got a decent pub to watch the footy beforehand?
The duke of york will be showing the cup game, and really near the ground. On the corner of Sidwell Street and York road if you look on google maps. They have good drinks deals on weekends as well.

Use Google for a map , Just type in Wetherspoon's Exeter. Will use the pub myself so might see a few of you there.0 -
Forgot to say that you will go through Exeter Central. This is nearer than Exeter St Davids, so you may want to jump off there.
Try the Wells Tavern on Wells Street, about 300 yards from ground and shows SKY

Give you that, but these pasties are absolutely the business, i'm avoiding breakfast to have a scoffMendonca/There is a pasty shop outside Exeter Central station, called Oggy's if not mistaken. You MUST try them!
Yer, its kinda the SW version of Greggs

Should imagine so, I am doing the same. This only stops at Central if you are travelling from WaterlooForgot to say that you will go through Exeter Central. This is nearer than Exeter St Davids, so you may want to jump off there.
.
Will this be ok even if my tickets are to Exeter St Davids further along?

There was a story a while ago of someone getting fined because they left their train a stop early at Durham when they had a ticket to Newcastle.
It depends if they have ticket barriers at Exeter Central. The walk isn't that much further if you are worried.
A ridiculous thing, but yeah I have heard about similar situations. They must think you are trying to loophole the system somehow

That's correct as Exeter Central is if you are travelling from Waterloo
My tickets out of Paddington (10.06) state that that i've got to change at St Davids to get to Central.Forgot to say that you will go through Exeter Central. This is nearer than Exeter St Davids, so you may want to jump off there.

Still got to fancy our chances nevertheless
