one more win or two draws to break the record league 1 points score of 98 set by luton in 2004/5
wigan got 100 points in 2002/3 and fulham 101 in 1998/9 in the old division 2,
in the old english third based on 3pts as opposed to 2 for a win we need 2 more points to beat bury who got 98 in 60/61, 4 more points to beat hull who got 100 in 65/6 and 6 more points to beat villa who got 102 in 71/2
(these are the only ones ahead of us including the old division 2 and old english third division)
equal with wigan in 2002/3 for most away wins in league 1/english division 2 since 92/3 - already beaten swansea/leicester and MK's record of 14 since the league 1 started too
even back to the old english division 3 starting from 58/9 - we have a better amount of away wins than any of the years - now to win at preston and have the record to ourselves
we have the best away defence conceded in league 1 history (14 conceded) and since 1959 in the old third division only PNE 1999/2000 (14) and wigan 2002/3 (9) are close to us.
since the creation of the old second division in 1992/3 only millwall in 2000/1 (+51), leicester 2008/9 (+45) and brighton 2010/11 (+45) and southampton 2010/11 (+48) have matched our goal difference of (currently) +45... therefore +4 swing of goals and well have the league 1 record and plus 7 swing of goals and well have the third tier record
Also in terms of away points accumulated, we have the most (49 - 15 wins and 4 draws) in league 1 history and this is only bettered by wigan 2002/3 (51 - 15 wins and 6 draws which we could surpass and have the most away points accumulate in the third tier since 1959
we have the joint best defence in the football league with swindon (32 goals conceded), best away defence in the football league, highest goal difference in the football league, least away defeats, least overall defeats and best points total for away games in the football league. Also first team to surpass 90 points, first team to secure promotion and first team to be crowned champions, now lets pass 100pts.

probably not a record in the true sense, and probably already been mentioned. I would imagine its the first time ever when after a season there is no other team in the entire top 4 leagues who have fewer than our number of defeats. Also think the 5 should have been 3, but there you go.

Interesting stats, great records...I am wondering though whether this is the first season we have ever done a League & Cup double, the momentous occasion of The Peoples Cup win seems to have been forgotten somewhat after our league win ;-)
9 of the 11 who started against Bournemouth in August also started yesterday, including the entire back 4 and midfield. Would have been 10 probably, if Hamer hadn't been injured in Aug. I've got no stats on this, but i bet very few teams have ever managed that, and it's a brilliant illustration of how Chrissy got our racing out of the blocks so well, and had a good sense of what would be a winning team right from the very start
