What is your biggest crowd in the last 5 years Sparrows?
You lot ain't it? Why would that be a surprise? It's a local derby, no ticket restrictions, Charlton fans in the home end and an important end of season game.
How does that mean that we hate you?
What it means is playing us is a big thing for Millwall. Understandable as we're the biggest club in the area.
Come on SLL, we all remember StuWall and his attempt to buy tickets for the Charlton home game and how you got your biggest gate of a promotion season v a team you don't care about.
Who has said nobody cares? Go back & read what I said! It's a local derby, of course it matters, loads of wall & charlton are mates, but people are talking about Millwall hating Charlton, I just don't think that's the case.

I didn't mention hate. You're the one so keen to deny that the game means more than a local derby v Brentford or Orient when clearly your ticket sales at home prove different.

Nor do i. but the for younger lads it's a chance to go to an away game and give it large (safely)
i hate the scum cos there is a large element that appear at Charlton and they're there for trouble and nothing else
i mean 60-70 twats without tickets being escorted around the valley by old bill when it's -2 and the saturday before christmas in Dec 09 , perleeaase they aren't there for the scenery
i'll bring my 6 year old to the palarse match and i'll be thinking twice about it for the scum game, reason being cos everytime we've played the scum , at home, their vermine have jumped up giving it the big one in the home areas and i've never seen that with palarse
I can't be bothered to wade through the debate - but I'm wondering if like Palace we should chose some obscure team and start a rivalry with them that means nothing to either set of fans while ignoring local teams.
Any nominations?
It doesn't have have to be an English league team, or even one that plays in Scotland, Ireland or Wales.
The only thing missing from this season is the rivalry. I love it. All we have had this season is a few spats with the 'MASSIVE'....which is a really shite alternative to giving it to Millwall & Palace.
I love to hate the pair of them. Can throw Spurs in with them too...just cos all their fans are complete helmets.
Everyone time someone starts a thread asking if anyone hates us I die a little inside, it's embarrassing.
Who cares whether the hate is reciprocated, I hate the weirdo, freaks that are Palace and I hate the scum that are Millwall I couldn't give a monkeys if they hate me back. I'd give my right arm to turn them both over next season.

I know a Palace supporter who watches Charlton periodically when Palace are away, and has done since the 1940s! Similarly, the one Millwall fan I know is a top bloke. Rivalries aren't the be-all and end-all.

I'm surprised at your inability to read & interpret my posts in response to other points raised. You crack on Henry!

Okay then - I nominate Rotherham. The bastard scum! (Bear with me while I think of a reason.)

My best mate at School was an arsenal fan. This is why I hate and always will hate Arsenal. Doesn't mean I want to kill my mate.

I grew up in Croydon and for the first fifteen years of my life barely ever saw any stripes anywhere, then when I was in fifth year at school the Nigels got to the FA Cup final and suddenly everyone I knew, went to school with, the shopping centre, everywhere and everyone suddenly started wearing red and blue and taking the piss out of me supporting Charlton despite 99.9% of them never going to a match ever or having mentioned football in the past.
I obviously at that point hated them already due to the ground share (my Uncle Maurice lost his job as Head Groundsman at the Valley when we left so even more personal)
Then Wembley and the replay and them all thinking they were better than Man Utd. Then the other cup final they got to a couple of years later (Zenith Data Systems?) where they left Keown with an even more mashed up face than normal and kicked their way through the match. Even ignoring their stripey mug fans they've had a greater proportion of unlikeable players than most over the years.
I got out of Croydon as soon as I could (am now in Brighton ironically) but I look back on living there with almost only bad memories of the area and the people.
This isn't even getting to things like Simon Jordan, the plane, their sad "Clowntown" nickname for us, their lack of history, the attack on the kids on the train in 2007, their fans trying to give it the large outside Sellout and the Valley and as soon as anyone moves towards them them legging it off, the plastic Ultras etc. etc.
So in summary. Yes I hate the stripy Nigels with a passion... and I can't wait till next season and doing the double over them on the way to the Premier League

What's the difference with palace and us? Share a fanbase but they shafted us hence the one sided hatred.
We seem so desperate for an enemy its nauseating.
P.S I hate Palace.
Grrrrr
Loathsome.

My hatred of Palace has been waning for quite a few years now.
I hate Palace because I'm a Charlton fan. I hate Millwall because I'm a human being.
The few spanners that I have known have generally been alright, but there's something creepy about palace fans I find repellant....
