Agree with Henry. The English fans have a very long and shameful history of causing trouble at major tournaments and at club level. Never as far as I am aware been any suggestion that the England team would be excluded. Russian travelling fans is still a relatively new phenomenon and attitudes to race issues in that country and many of the other former Soviet block countries are a long way behind the rest of he world in no small part because the Soviet block nations have not had any historical links and therefore immigration from people of different colour or culture. This will no doubt highlight the problem and hopefully the long slow process of education will follow.
And the list goes on. But don't let that get in the way of another "anti-English" conspiracy. Please try to stop feeling so persecuted, there is no anti-English agenda.
Four of the links above are about dodgy finance rather then hooligans, only one link refers to hooligans. I still think the outcome would be very different if it was are own supporters, I remeber one of the tournaments when are fans were throwing chairs around and having a tear up and UEFA was calling us animals and how we should be banned from all competitions. Seems the same doesnt stand for Russia although you wouldnt want to get rid of the country that offers the biggest bung
lets face it uefa do not like the english if this was us completley different story
change the record
so your of the assumption that we are treated the same as the rest then?
No, YOUR assumption was that we are treated differently but you have provided no evidence to back that up.
UEFA hate us and they would have banned us are cliches that get trotted out every time something happens involving other countries but where is your evidence?

Don't you think UEFA should threaten to ban teams who's supporters behave like that ?
I think some people struggle to differentiate between FIFA and UEFA when it comes to this "bungs" stuff.
I don't know how much evidence you need, and you are clearly determined to cling to your misguided belief in the face of all reason and evidence.

Evidence? We didn't get banned after the chair throwing in France so please provide some evidence rather than repeating the same old cliche.

Let me guess...you are Scottish?
Why has this even turned into a thread about England ffs.
Fair play to the steward he got up and shook it off. Cowardly behaviour by the Russian fans involved.
Not sure what that dust up was all about to be honest....would like to know exactly who did what to whom and why before I can truly pass judgement on what's taken place...........sure someone or another was to blame but can't really tell who, just from that footage anyway. And as is often the case on here, it's not so much what you say as what you don't say....so I'll say it before someone suggests otherwise....I'm in 'no way' condoning it, I'm just curious as to what 'exactly' took place and why?
its the lack of consistency, domestically when there is racism or crowd problems we are made an example of but everyone else gets away with it abroad, you really think that if what happened with fenerbache and galatasary happened in england uefa wouldnt step in, i think not

Again please give some evidence of where we are made "an example of" domestically.
I think we can say that we are no longer viewed as the number one 'bad boys' of European football....attention is slowly but surely being focused elsewhere one feels.
Italy is a prime example, whenever English teams have played over there someone ends up stabbed, Roma fans stabbed 10 Man u fans, Naples fans stabbed 1 LFC fans nothing has ever happened to those clubs. When Leeds had there glory year in the Champs league wasn't a couple of there fans killed in Turkey? How can you prove a corrupt organisation is anti-English? As long as the money is free flowing into this organisation and every member is happy no one is going say anything. If all the stabbing incidents and match fixing happened in England no team would be playing in Europe next season.
If all the stabbing incidents and match fixing happened in England no team would be playing in Europe next season.
You keep saying that but where is the proof? There is none, it is just your assumption that it would happen.
How can you prove something that hasn't happened in this country? We don't have problems with match fixing and the one time we had a problem in a European final were people lost there lives English teams were banned from Europe for five years.

Don't let the facts get in the way of the great 'chip on the shoulder' carried by so many on here.

Wait, so your entire argument is based on what you think might happen, rather than events which have happened ? You think you may be persecuted for something that hasn't happened yet, despite no evidence that you would be ? That's a persecution complex at best and fairly serious case of paranoia at worst.

If the match fixing happened in England I wonder what UFEA stance would be on it? If two Turkish fans were stabbed to death in England I wonder what UFEA stance would be on that? Lets just wait and see if there is any trouble out there with English fans, we have already had monkey noises at Hollands players and now fighting from the Russians and it is only three days inti the competition.

I agree, people trotting out cliches without any evidence is tedious.
Can You back that comment up ?
