I also feel so sorry for Tony Martin who is a TT specialist but had a mechanical problem in the prologue and a puncture today, its obviously not his tour.
It amazes me how many people line the route. They stand there for ages and the peloton passses by for 30 seconds and that's it.
...and then you get the ones running alongside in their Y Fronts, Mankini's etc.
Great day for Team Sky yesterday. As long as the keep Wiggo out of trouble and on the bike, surely the tour win is in the bag now, especially knowing there's a 50km TT on the penultimate stage before Paris.
I'd really love to see him wrap this up before the next TT and give Cav the chance to zoom up the Champs Elysees once again. Then Wiggo could try for another olympic medal and take his tally to one more than Steve Redgrave.
on eurosport they were saying it could of been an even bigger gap. They felt that wiggins came off the pace so to keep BMC and ched evens interested in the yellow jersey. Which if true (which i doubt because wiggins looked knackered (not naked as i spelt it earlier) afterwards) then it would be an extremely smart and calculated thing to do. Keeping other teams close they will then help push the peloton on so to keep up with any breakaways. I think though Ched will have to look at joining one of these breakaways. cant just hope something bad happens to sky or to wiggins.
Incidentally I've really been impressed with Froome. real talented rider. great for him to win the stage a few days ago. Saw wiggins was struggling and instead of letting Ched take the victory off he goes and takes it for himself. I hope he can try and go for king of the mountains though i know thats not his main aim.
It does make you sort of admire these guys who spend hours cycling in all sorts of weather and have various conditions to cope with...and just makes you laugh even more when another sportsman complains about having to play a game for one or two days a week!
Love this ...about time someone hit back at faceless cowards that hide behind twitter..
The Tour de France leader, Bradley Wiggins, stormed out of a press conference in a fury yesterday after being asked what his reaction was to anonymous members of the Twittersphere who claimed it was impossible to win the race without being doped.
"I'd say they are just f***ing w***ers," was Wiggins' impassioned response. "I can't be dealing with people like that, it justifies their own bone idleness. Rather than getting off their a***s and doing something with their lives it's easier for them to sit underneath a pseudonym on Twitter and write that sort of s**t..." Wiggins then got up and walked out, bringing an abrupt end to proceedings.

Darren Gough got hammered by Adrian Durham (?) on talksport yesterday because He said that alot of people, when thinking of the TDF , think of "drug taking". Then AD said there was a case that 1 rider was tested postive yesterday. I, however wrongly, associate cycling with that, like Goughie. Is it just us, or, is it a great sport for showing up these "cheats" ?

Darren Gough is the thickest presenter on the radio.....

Darren Gough is a thick twat and Adrian Durham is not far behind.
A rider on the Cofidis team (Remy De Gregorio) has been arrested in connection with an event that took place a long time ago whilst he was riding for another team, he has not been tested positive in this years race.
It was the slowest sprint finish yesterday and you could feel their pain coming out of the T.V. Sky did their job perfectly again and if they keep it up Wiggins will definitely be in yellow in Paris.

The Confidis rider got done for a cocaine offence. Must be from South London.....
well jell!
I can see Froome winning the Tour next year. He already has a second in the Vuelta and could go one better this September.
