    This formation does not seem to provide much scope for any over lapping runs by Cole and Johnson with Young and Milner permanently stationed 10 yards in front of them.

    Dreadful first half. Cannot hold on for a 0 0. Need to take Milner and Rooney off and get Walcott and Carroll on. But dont think that will happen. Save Wayne for the quarters.

    No need to panic. I think Hodgson knew that the first half would pan out this way. Bring Walcott/Ox/Carroll on with 25 minutes to go at 0-0 and we can definitely steal this.

    Think Roy has told them first and foremost not to lose. Hoping to nick a set play or use Walcott late on when they get tired. Certainly playing very rigid with no width and we don't have flair of any real quality anyway. Still think this will end up 1 nil to England.

    Dire !! Agree about Milner, Parker has yet to play a ball forward and Rooney hasn't woken up. Back to normality then.
