We had no home our anger was against the fuckas who took it and those who wouldn't give it back

The football was not too bad back then it was more a combined club fans and players

I don't remember moaning or groaning it was us against every fecka and the tax man

  • I must have been on nodding terms at least with some on here back then. And to think, twenty years later we're discussing favourite hot beverages and pigeon racing lol ffs, where does time go?

    I miss those days

Carlisle away last season the closest to an old school away day if I could change one thing it would be to bring football back to that proper proper sat and midweek enjoyment

Going to go enfield town tomoz it is football but not how we know it , it is raw and tough

Scott Mcgleish plays for them now

Was Scott mate who put an hat trick past cray the other day
  • Feel old now.

That Bristol City game is one of my favourites ever, spoke to bristol city fans since who were very surprised and impressed that day.

    Never be the same again
  • City was quality absolute quality from the coining we took inside to robsons goal

To the fun outside was a cracking away day was what tribal football was all about the return was just as much fun
  • Went arse over tit on the terrace celebrating Robson's goal and caught someone's knee in my mouth, split my lip. Remember someone dragging me to my feet and then just carrying on dancing.
  • anyone remember reading away in the jolly wagner pub that was scary

Wasn't there but heard it was squeaky bum time from Vince the week after on the train from London Bridge. Funnily enough I bumped into him at Hillsborough before Christmas and spoke about it then.
  • Was hammered and young. Ended up getting put on my arse after by some massive lump. Funniest thing was the bit of rope as segregation!

Was as at Blackburn and United that season. Top cup games!

  • Bit of a long shot but does anyone remember a couple called Chris and Louise? Can't remember their surname but he was loud and had that original skinhead look going on and she had red hair. Or a guy called Lester Ford from Ladywell? He had long hair.
  • I'll always remember that "I've got a song that'll get on your nerves" being sung in the sainsburys end of selhurst by a group of about 4-5 lads.

    Anyone know them?
  • Also there was always a couple of cracking blondes in with the old red division at upton park.

    Anyone know them?!
  • Yes to all.

Remember playing a game against Lester's sunday team, the fella on our team who had never scored, scored, and there was a big bundle. All of a sudden Lester run about 30 yards and dived on top of the bundle. His team mates weren't impressed.

Last saw him at a midweek away up at West Brom when we won 1-0.

Got saved a kicking out in Magaluf by a group of Baby Squad by the fact their main lump did England away trips with Lester. Long story
  • Good guy was Lester, kipped on his sofa a couple of times. Remember him showing me a video of a BBC news story reporting some trouble at an England away. And there he was, face down on the pavement, smiling for the camera.
  • remember the leicester game well, kicked off late as they spilled on the pitch,i was in the bar with paul gorman avvin a bet saw there was people on the pitch so quickly ran back and ordered another pint (if my memory serves me right).was also at bristol city, great day where even my old man had a row,hes 76 now.used to go to selhurst but when we went to upton park we all knew there was light at the end of the tunnel but there was still some very nervy moments until our return.I reckon the biggest moaner in them days was dear old wally (rip) a lovely man.
