I'm 90% sure his contract ends in the summer after the year extension that he triggered last season. Anyone confirm it?
  • Yes he's out of contract.

    Yes he's out of contract.

    Cheers fellas,

Shame would have liked to have seen him play on the wing or as an Inside Forward for extra strength in final third, If he gets Brentford promoted the he'll probably stay there.

    Good luck BWP

Not good enough this season though and it's that simple. People saying he didn't get a fair crack of the whip are mistaken - he kept his place in the first team until it became untenable.

up front on his own in a team that creates few chances. Glenn Murray would be on less than 10 if he played for us.

How often did he play up front on his own? Blackburn at home probably the only game?

We were playing 4-4-2 and it got to the point he had to be dropped as he didn't have the pace, strength or skill to cause problems at this level. Perhaps if we had a very creative midfield he'd have scored more often but we don't.

Did a great job for us in League 1 and for his first year couldn't stop scoring. Our other strikers have scored goals in this league with the same midfield but also offer more outside the box.

Good luck to him, hope he gets a run alongside Hayes, probably the best partnership up front in a long time and they did it very quickly.

Very true. The re-writing of such recent history is bizarre.

In BWPs defence Danny Green was also playing which partially accounts for the lack of service : - )

Be careful what you say Henry, re-writing of such recent history is bizarre indeed. ;-)

It took until Derby away for Danny Green to start his first game of the season.

Are we supposed to shout "Murray" in a strange, high-pitched voice now?
