I can't really see why RD is getting stick for the whole lack of contract debacle?!?
why not, we're his to do with as he pleases, we're his baby now, if I bought a business tomorrow first thing I'd do was to sort my assets out....
And the suggestion is that he tried to.....and the "asset" was not happy with how the club valued him. It happens.
I'm far from happy if he goes but the previous mob must surely take the lions share of the blame?!?
I guess we all need to chill until Friday midnight then see where we are... I wouldn't blame him for going if we ain't put a decent offer on the table, if in fact there has been one...
To be fair it's easier said than done though. While obviously nowhere near as serious (it is only football after all), we're at the stage here where we've found the lump and the doctor is running tests - it could be malignant, it could be benign, we won't know until the test results are back. But its not realistic to ask the patient not to worry while they wait for the results.

Agreed mate. We just don't know.
What I do know is that the players are in a much stronger bargaining position as they can walk in the summer. This is 100% down to the previous regime not being willing or able to address the situation.
RD said in the video how he is mindful of the need to reduce the wage bill for FFP. This may just him be proving it?!?
Fecking joke club. If Yan goes I won't step foot in the valley for a long long time. What is this rat man playing at. Making a quick profit, fecking the club up and pissing off. I know its sad but honestly probably cry if Yan goes, could maybe understand celtic but fecking Bournemouth. Jesus wept
GH your right 100% about being a selling club and its right that fans are fucked off but what do we do with Yann if we have offered him a contract and he say No , what more can we do
Tell B'mouth to fuck off; tell Yann he's staying and keep him til the end of the season. Then he can walk if he wants to. We just have to stay up this season, it is crucial that we do and we have a lot better chance with Yann than without him. If RD needs £400k that badly when he's string on a half billion fortune he can do one too.
This. Similar scenario to Spotty Parker 10 years ago
Huddersfield Town have rejected a bid from Brighton for midfielder Adam Clayton, Sky Sports understands. Brighton boss Oscar Garcia is desperate to bolster his midfield options after losing Andrew Crofts to injury for the rest of season and with doubts surrounding the long-term future of Sunderland target Liam Bridcutt.

its sad yes but i would have thought no player is bigger than the club! this RD ruins and puts club out of business when i will cry!
I reckon if yann and wiggins go without the power to replace immediately Powell will walk. I don't think he will stand around and watch this club go to pot being helpless to do anything about it, I also think Murray wouldn't be far behind. I hope this selling players and not spending anything isn't a way of stamping down authority and letting the club management know who's in charge. Roman done similar at Chelsea which is what led to Jose leaving 1st time round (granted he had spent 400million leading up to that though).
He did this at standard and there was outrage must be his template cash in clear the decks start again in summer only dif being standard stil quailifed for the champs league were facing league one..bit different.. Must get bodies in at sparrows asap.
I get this "nobody bigger than the club" speak, but perhaps we need to remember that the players, manager and fans like us MAKE the club what it is, as a collective. Sure, if a few leave, we'll still exist, but we will be weakened by their loss. Hence the club we love is, in my eyes, not quite as good as it was. Many Fans feel they have less affiliation with their clubs nowadays for a whole host of reasons and removing endearing characters like yann and Powell (hopefully not) makes it harder to keep the faith.
All we can do is hope that there is something in the pipeline to stop the PR disaster the last few weeks have been (cup wins aside ) First the pitch and Barnsley, then Donny now a potential mass exodus.
The only silver lining to this jet black p***ing hard cloud is that RD did the same thing at Standard and they are now running away with the league.
I only hope the funds are to be put to good use to secure some of S Jackson, Gradel, Grandin and Gucci to keep us up. This window will go down to the wire for us, but the people in charge of the club now are not amateurs when it comes to running football clubs, unlike Slater and Jiminez who put us in this position by letting the contracts run down.
Were Liege in the bottom three with a depleted squad when he sold their best players? I doubt it.

Selling Wiggins, one of our few top Championship or even Prem quality players, will be unforgivable.
Selling Stevo would be understandable, but a real pity.
As much as anyone on here, I am desperate to sign some quality players - but I wanted them to complement our best players, not replace them.
If we sell without at least equal quality replacements and we end up going down, Charlton can stick next season's ST right where the sun don't shine.
I am mildly encouraged by NLAs hope/confidence about signings. I have everything crossed that he is correct.
