  • Dale had his moments but he was also very good at passing to the opposition.
    good luck lad
  • Sounds like we'll collect a decent fee for Stevo.

Do we have to pay Oldham a percentage (resale clause) .....?
  • Our best player so far this season, gutted to see him go.

    Good luck Dale.

I'd say that too, therefore we do need another CM otherwise it's a bit worrying.

Agree with that. He was my player of the season. Had he moved up north though he would have a lot more respect from us fans.
  • thing is we have known all this season so far he would go in jan, powelly knew it more importantly lets wait for the next midfielder to come in and he will be better than dale and young dale will be a fond memory

    Cousins personally

Stephens going means 2 centre mid spots contested by Cousins, Jacko and AA. Might be enough if we get a couple of threatening wide players in

    Poyet can't be far behind
  • Now we need creative CM, to unlock packed defences and make that killer pass.

And a pacy winger who can actually cross the ball.

  • Genoa have announced that midfielder Daniel Tozser has joined Watford on loan until the end of the season.
I wonder how many Hornets fans will be getting his name on their replica shirts?

I'm sad to see Dale go, as he has been very good this season. Unfortunately my abiding memory of him will not be any of the wonder goals he scored, but that game against Forest at home last year where he couldn't pass it to any of our players.
  • Have not seen many games in the last couple of years for one reason or another but did go to the Jills friendly pre-season before last and I don't think he successfully passed to a player on his own team all match. That bad he stood out.

Reckon he'll kick on with BHA though once they de-charltonise him. Good luck Dale

Should be obligatory for every Watford fan.
Can we really talk ourselves with a player like Anil Koc on our books lol!? - Just glad the two dont play together ;-)

Last supper says Hamer on Instagram. Vid of him, Hughes, Hollands and...

I just saw that. I assume/hope it's for Danny Hollands.

  • Disappointed to see dale go. He has had a decent season and ill miss his thunderbolt efforts. Not nice seeing that picture of him but imagine what it would be like seeing yann holding a Bournemouth shirt up.
  • "Tozser pats Koc on the head because he scores!"
  • "Tozser pats Koc on the head because he scores!"

Regardless of names... Jeff Stelling is having his Christmas presents early lol!

Could be any of them tbh, we are a bit OTT on keepers at the moment.

Consider yourself lucky - I have a signed picture of him scoring at Brum on the wall.

Heard that Yann is going despite being at training today.

Also that Powell was almost sacked today, or was going to be sacked tomorrow but he might now be ok, make of that what you will.
  • I have just watched the excellent press conference with Chris Powell on player. Made me feel a whole lot more hopeful regarding the future than I had been. Chris is composed, realistic, did not duck any questions, and whatever anybody may say about his approach to the football, he is a very very impressive man.
My take is that Chris and Roland have been able to understand each other, and Chris intends to make things a success.
We have said that Chris has not had the resources from the previous regime, but he is getting them now. It may be that the players are not ones he knows as well as some others that we have scouted, but there is always a risk signing any player known or unknown.
The big benefit for Chris is that people can't accuse him of blowing big transfer fees that have not come off. The financial aspect of the transfer malarkey at Charlton is down the agenda, it is as if Roland is saying, 'you're a coach, here are football players, over to you'.

How on earth do you know that?

That may be true, but we are very light now in midfield. We need at least two creative midfield players to service all these forwards we are accumulating.

Perhaps one or more of the 4 new faces reported at sparrows lane today, minus Reza, were CM's.

Maybe Draxler was there, that would be nice.

Yeah me to, thought he looked happier than for a while and thought he conducted himself very well, especially when asked about his own future. He seems to know about Rezza and The polish lad, interested in Simeon Jackson and that Cedric lad.

Top of the head we have Jacko, Cousins, Astrid, Green, Pritch, Harriott...errrm, there are some more who can play there, I tend to agree we could do with a latter day Kinsella and Jensen.
