I got the 6.14 from Welling to Cannon St and it went through fine??0
-
-
how can you check before travelling, theres 4 major lines go through lewisham?, the amount of money they make they should keep the rails in a working condition all the time, thankfully no one hurt but there closed for track upgrades every weekend.0
-
Carnage. Nothing to london on sidcup line until mid day apparently - all other lines disrupted0
-
Got to Bexley at just after 6am. Got on the train expecting it to go to Lewisham but it terminated at Sidcup.
Went to the cab office by the station and an hour and a half later (and £45) I'm in Canary Wharf.
I should be able to invoice Southeastern for the cab fare, but I'll get the normal crap £1.50 refund I'm sure. C**ts!!3 -
apparently bexleyheath line okay but thats according to there twitter which needs to be taken with a ton of salt.0
-
Derailment in Lewishtan - a track worker friend just put it up on Facebook

when i used to have a paper ticket i would scan in my montly ticket then at the end of the month just fill out as many delay repay forms as i could and if over £50 they send you a cheque, now with oyster they can track what time im at stations etc.Brendan_O_Connell said:Got to Bexley at just after 6am. My walk up the hill to campus is a bit slippery this morning. There is a few leaves on the path. Night be hazardous. Still shouldn't take more than 15 mins though!6
-
The detailed freight train is one thing.
The utter lack of info from Southeastern is something else. Crammed in like sardines on the Woolwich line.

Aww bless, I'll be saving this for when you start getting a train to work and find yourself unable to talk about the trains without using the word "cunts"cantersaddick said:My walk up the hill to campus is a bit slippery this morning. No Cannon St or Charing X trains from Orpington or Petts Wood. Currently on a Thameslink to Denmark Hill then going to get the Overground back to East London.
Have never been on a train more packed than this, even coming home from football! Absolute carnage!0 -
Bad enough yesterday...over 3 hours to get to London Bridge, glad we aren't going up today, good luck to anyone having to use SE today.0
-
Bloke told me that there was a broken rail and it ripped off a load of electrical gear. They fixed the broken rail during the day yesterday, caused serious delays but I did manage to meet Mrs Hastings and her mum on time.....though it did take over 3 hours to get from Hastings to London Bridge.Hastingsaddick said:
Don't blame you, hopefully it will get sorted by this afternoon.Er_Be_Ab_Pl_Wo_Wo_Ch said:Given up, working from home now.
The rescue train arrived. But it wasn't able to pull the broken down train. So we all had to leave the broken down train and get on the rescue train. The broken down train could still be there! Got back to Sevenoaks 2 hours 20 minutes after leaving Sevenoaks.0 -
Got to dartford station just after 0800. Took one look and went back home. Complete mess. Loads of cancellations. Bexleyheath line still officially running but the 0821 departure is still sitting there and it's 0903 as I type this (edit. It actually let at 0901. Good luck if you are crammed on that one with the heating on and the daily growlers!)0

Thought I'd give the trains a swerve and get the DLR from Woolwich. Can't even get in the station with the crowds. Sometimes i wish i was unemployed!0

I got the 7.06 from Welling this morning. Due to arrive 7.40, actually arrived 8.25. Another £1.50 compensation if I can be arsed to go through their god-awful revamped Delay Repay website. Despite having an annual ticket, which, by definition stays the same for a whole year, every time I want to claim I have to enter the type of ticket, the cost of the ticket, the ticket number, another 8-digit number and the photocard number, and they already have a scanned copy of the fucking thing!!!

Ohh don't worry. I used southeastern every day for a year before returning to uni. I'll be using it again come July so I'm well acquainted with the term Cnuts.cafcdave123 said:

Been in Sydney for almost two years now, and I think a train may have been a minute or two late once. Have lived in different suburbs outside the city. Even when there's loads of trackwork, the alternative routes run smoothly.
Works very well.

Did this a few times last year, two actually got rejected (WTF). They said I could of got another train and changed. I mean as if I would be sitting there thinking "I must see if I can blag a delay compensation from SE"Rizzo said:I got the 7.06 from Welling this morning. Due to arrive 7.40, actually arrived 8.25. The final one they accepted and I got a £3.50 voucher, I've changed to the Key for this years annual (it's failed twice already) and you could not use the voucher online.

Luckily for me, my boss lives in Essex and his knowledge of rail geography in South London is non-existent. He could never be a Charlton fan.
Saw the updates on here this morning. Texted my boss from bed at about 8.20 to say that there were no trains all day but I'd get in somehow. Nice cup of coffee, leisurely shower, strolled down to Catford, walked straight onto a Thameslink train, now sat in first class. Should be at work in half an hour.
Will accept the plaudits for "somehow making it in", spend a few hours looking at Charlton Life and then head home early before the transport network gets too chaotic. Work from home tomorrow (watching Netflix and Porn Hub).
It's people like me that keep this country going.40 -
Couldn't get on two 269s to Bickley due to road works outside Morrisons, that are of course not being worked on..... 625 to Chislehurst. Finally got on 269. Got to Bickey, train straight away. 6 carriages when they knew of derailment and that other lines would be busy (someone isn't for for their job). Sardines. Should have jumped to the fast at Bromley but didn't. Arguments breaking out on train. More Sardines. Fights to even get off. Train crawls into Victoria. Left before 8. Still another 30 mins to destination.0

As we are sharing our journey woes:
- Didn't even bother going to Eltham station as trains we fucked.
- Waited to get 132, but couldn't get on any that went past as they didn't even stop.
- Decided to try 161, went one stop and got off as traffic was going no where.
- Went to station and couldn't get on train that did come as to packed. However train came straight afterwards with no one on which was nice.
- Think I saw KM on platform 7 at London Bridge.
Can't wait until I can cycle again.0
