marieke own everything and stvv loan the stadion - but now rd has a problem because now he can gife only 3 players from standard not more against the rules - we think that he now has a participation with geel in second division for his players

I saw that there was an April fools joke that the geel media department put out saying that RD was buying them, so is that the case ?
Isn't their now stricter rules in Belgium regarding the ownership of clubs and the identity of owners?

I wonder if Le Point will be on his way to STTV over the summer, I can't see him staying with us and maybe with this 3 player from Liege rule this was the plan all the time.

At the Bromley meeting Katrien said that STTV ground was owned by Mrs Duchatalet but the club was owned by someone else, we did not follow this up.

Given that the real ownership is RD, then strengthening STTV so they do not go straight down, presumably will have an implication on what he invests with other clubs in the network - this will be an interesting test of his intentions for all clubs fans.

She is not his wife, that's the point, just his partner. She owns the club, Duchatelet the ground. He "sold" the club to her for political reasons (he is a local councillor), long before he bought Standard. An STVV fan told us the club now has to pay rent to play on the ground it always used to own; on the other hand, RD has spent a lot of money making major improvements to the ground.

OK but the point I was making was that KM said that she did not own the club just the ground and the club was owned by someone else .. a "he".

The chairman of STVV, and I believe major shareholder, is called Bart Lammens. He is a long-standing political associate of Roland's. Roland asked him to get involved/ take over the club after he invested in Standard. RD's partner, Marieke Hofte, owns the stadium. Found this all from online search of Belgian press.

Okay, I can see that makes sense, if the info I had about club ownership was the way RD arranged it when he first bought STVV.

What is the influence of Roland Duchâtelet actually still in Sint-Truiden? The former strongman STVV attracted to Standard, but the girlfriend of Duchâtelet Marieke Höfte, is still the owner of the stadium. Here and there is already talk about a conflict of interest towards next season, but wants to know Bart Lammens nothing.

The chairman of STVV is clear: "He has spent years our first supporter and ships from Sint-Truiden. Obviously he tastes our promotion. Lately we see Duchâtelet less and less, but as he attends a match, he is a welcome guest. He has put down here still one of the finest stadiums in Belgium ", it sounds at Lammens.

He realizes that there are some question marks, but the other clubs should not worry. "We wanted to give himself full transparency in that research. There is nothing that stinks. We only rent a stadium NV Stayen like other clubs rent a stadium of the municipality. We have indeed been loaned players from Standard, but if you see their number of matches, which is negligible. There is nothing wrong with that smaller working with big clubs. We hope players from Standard, which previously were not keen to play in the second division, now might want to get us playing opportunities. This can only enrich the football. "

Standard Liege losing 2-0 to Kortrijk. This follows on from 1-0 defeat to Sporting Charleroi. Lost 3 out of 4 in the end of season mini league. Not going well so far. 5th place and out of the Europa League play off places as well.

At this moment SL looks poor. I'm a Kortrijk supporter and i'm glad with the win , Charlton would sweep the floor with SL at this moment. Riga will get the sack again i think but Roland should be blamed selling SL best players to spice up his bankaccount.
