Is anyone going to notice that if you want one you can have it on before the end of June rather than the usual October ? How piss poor is that.3

Think I'd prefer white shorts

@nug needs to get a job with the club.0

or in a hosiery department0

Yeah, I've got it too, mate. I like it a lot. Proof that we do have fairly recent form in experimenting with the amount of red and white on the home kit. Any idea if it was controversial in its day?The Red Robin said:
I have this from Toffs. This would have been fine by me. I don't care which way around the red and white is as long as it's red and white.hawksmoor said:Most of us think there's too much white, but how about this old home kit? Couldn't find a colour one, but you get the idea.

Ask the older lifers…I'm not old enough to remember! I'm sure my dad has said it was a bit at the time. I also remember Millwall playing in white at home for a bit as well. Unfortunately sponsors just ruin kits these days but needs must I suppose.hawksmoor said:

Any chance you can get a fake Belgian passport? You might get a game.Nug said:4 -
I don't like it, nor the shorts, love the socks. But I wouldn't be buying it anyway, so if the kids who do buy shirts like it, I guess that's what matters?0
-
Aesthetically it looks ok - but my feeling is that we play in red shirts with white shorts. The Shirt has too much white and the shorts too little white for me. I'll probably buy it though!3

And you can buy it now for the bargain price of £18. You've got to love Nike!!!

I know it's "only" a shirt BUT that looks 100% better and a bit "classier"!!!Nug said:Be pretty easy to do this wouldn't it?

Nug, can you put some shinnies and a bobbie hat on it? Trying to imagine the whole get up for when I travel up on the train in August.

It's quite a nice kit but it's wrong for us. Too much white on the shirt and red shorts. If they'd given it white shorts I could probably understand the shirt having so much white but the fact is it's a fundamental change to our traditional colours. Red shirts white shorts is now red and white shirt, red shorts. What a bizarre thing to do.2

This design would've been much better (taken off Facebook):

Think it's a great kit, nice to have a change1

We can't have sea of red next season now!3

Lol, you've got to love the internet - obs the prodirect site wont sell the same sponsored shirt as the clubshop but thanks to the non-logo you're only a lettraset away from saving yourself £26 lol and its amusing that you can still have your shirt personalised with a players name and number, what players lolAddickted4life said:And you can buy it now for the bargain price of £18. But on the plus side if we can't be bothered to put the badge on the socks then you may as well get them from prodirect eh

I actually like it0

Well, that just makes it seem even more cheap and tacky. An £18 generic top from Pro Direct.Addickted4life said:And you can buy it now for the bargain price of £18. You've got to love Nike!!!

I'm also one of the 'not usually bothered about kit' brigade, but I agree with some of what's been said. Bit too Sunday League, bit too Rugby League, also shades of West Ham circa 1980. Just need Trevor Brooking or David Cross and his beard to model it. But overall, I suspect it may well turn out to be a grower.
That said, if this is exactly what we're wearing in August, I would be a little bit annoyed that we could have done it better - eg @Nug 's logo enhancement improves it no end.
But at the end of the day, the big question is does it pass the moob camouflage test? I think it has potential there with the two colours and the vertical stripe, so it could be a winner for me - especially if there's a black version. Sadly these things matter these days...2 -
Last year of Nike. Personally wouldn't mind Macron back again. They make Standard Liege's kit.0

Everything about this kit says 'Welling United'.3

Come to think of it, it does.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Everything about this kit says 'Welling United'.

Wasn't it a four year deal? Maybe I'm wrong, I've just been thinking thatThe Red Robin said:Last year of Nike. Personally wouldn't mind Macron back again. They make Standard Liege's kit.
And yes, I too wouldn't mind a smaller company, which would probably mean the clubs own distinct kit1 -

£10.49 on here. You can buy an iron-on Charlton badge on Ebay for £3.50. Cracking opportunity for unlicensed street traders to make a few quid on a matchday next season.
