    Suits you sir.

Forest is the best. Timeless kit.

Ours is the worst. Every club has proper marketing pictures and we've got a polaroid from the training ground.

I agree with the Forest kit - it really is nice!

Looking through the whole lot I find myself reasonably happy with ours.

All Adidas kits seem better than the rest! Forest top is the best of the bunch. Guess I am a child of the 70s.

Looked at the shirt in the club shop yesterday. Was hoping it would look better to me up close but just dislike it even more. Ah well.

Does anyone know if the away and third strip are on sale at the club shop yet or is it just pre order

My nephew wants the vile third strip for his birthday and i may get my sons the away one , that home kit is not growing on me , it's just nasty !

Time to start educating your nephew on taste then Oohaah - never to early...

Quote from a (non CAFC fan) mate of mine on seeing the third kit: "Don't understand the thought process behind it, surely lining the club up for unfavourable comparison and potential ridicule whenever it goes tits up on the pitch..."

*Edit* I should point out that my primary concern is not the comparison with Barcelona - it is that it looks like a s**t cycling jersey- as it did on Barcelona.

A lot of none Charlton fans seem to like our home kit by looking on Facebook ect and kids will love the 3rd kit. I like all 3 to be fair.

I think the older clientele on CL have still not got over the demise of heavy woolen jumpers and boots more suitable for deep sea diving...

I quite like the 1st shirt and I'm ancient though!

  • All our kits have grown on me a lot, especially the home kit.

Im not getting one but it is fine and it will be gone again this time next year, for anyone having a fit over it.

You could say the same for an STD, doesn't mean I have to like it while it's here... :-)

We play in red shirts, not red and white shirts.

Kits come and go...hope our white breasts leave fond memories. Would have been clever to have the red across the shoulders and white underneath as a nod to our 60s kit but hey ho. Hate hooped socks which clash with the v pattern on the shirts like wearing a striped tie with check shirt. Of other kits like Birmingham home and away and as always prefer Middlesborough away to home. In premier like Stoke and West Ham away and good to see the saints with strips. WBA are doomed. Prize for the best marketing pic goes to Real Madrid with the world cup's best player modelling the kit.

For the record at home ,Charlton have played in all red, white with red shoulders and black socks, red with black socks and for Les Berry's testimonial - all white. For one friendly they also played in purple shirts and white shorts.

That's because they're not Charlton fans.

I wonder which individual decided that the proper University of Greenwich logo was 'too busy'. Sounds like an on the hoof decision by one individual which we all have to put up with, or that it would've put the cost of producing the shirt up by 50p per 'unit' to £1 each, and eaten into the forty odd squids profit to be made per shirt.
The training top is the way to go if you really want to look the part in my view.

Now I've seen a few souls wearing these, anyone care to venture sizing advice?

As a more robust (lardy) supporter, if there's any hint of tailored fit then all is lost. What I'm hoping people will say is that they're roomier than a tardis. What I expect is that if you've got a head bigger than a pea or a belly less lean than Peter Andre's you're screwed.

    Thoughts?

Went down the shop today and got my 8 year old the home, away and keepers (spoilt brat) 6 year old only got the away , 4 year old got the home although he was wearing a 6-8 year old top
Nothing there for the 2 year old , the Avec chuff ,for 5 years old down , not arriving for a couple of weeks ....although my 4 year old could wear the 6-8yer old top but he's a bit tubby!

Looking at the home kit my view is that it is just nasty and cheap looking and the advertising on the shorts makes it look cheap and nasty , from behind the home kit is a bit Roherham for me
Don't mind the away kit that's ok

The old un gets 3 (future hand me downs) ....this is first time the other two got new ones only cos we were passing The Valley ,on way to my sisters , so I thought a bit of brainwashing /bribery in to Charlton would be a good start ....

Don't get me wrong, I totally applaud RD's expenditure on the pitch, the ground, the academy Etc and I am excited by our new squad. I am a happy bunny renewed season ticket holder and can't wait for the new season. But our new kit is an utter abortion. Hoopy socks, Middlesborough top and red shorts. I will not grow to like it. Even if we win the league in it I will always hate it. It is a shyte kit. End of!!!!!!

    Ah. That's better. Now breathe......,,,,

I would just say that having 3 sponsors is the beginning of a slippery slope towards what is considered normal in the French league. In France teams have sponsorship plastered all over the kit and it just looks messy.

Actually this season I wish we had far more sponsors. Cover up more of the shirt.
Saw someone wearing it earlier and it's not growing on me with time as I hoped. Still think it's dreadful.
