Quite a few, mainly sports stars - not surprising considering my industry! Lots of footballers, pretty much every top jockey and trainer (an extended lunch with Lester Piggott probably the highlight), knew Georgie Best quite well in the 80's, cricketers (once spent a few hours with the West Indies team in a hotel bar - Curtley, Courtney era) - and even last night I had the pleasure of a few hours in the company of one of the greats, Mushtaq Mohammad. Those into their cricket will remember what a legend he is, and I would add one of life's true gentlemen.1

Is Philippe Starck famous enough? we are on holiday in Arcachon bay, and met up with a French friend who is lucky enough have a house in Cap Ferret. He pointed him out as an old guy rolled past on an admittedly stylish bike and sidecar combo. My wife rather unkindly observed that his style sense had not been applied to himself. He had a bit of a belly, unlike most French blokes of his age.0
