123-4 at lunch on Day 2. We were 35-3 at one stage, but Foakes and Patel staged a recovery before Foakes fell for 47. Patel is still there and has made his maiden first-class half-century.
Still typical of so many times this season: 60-6 then a partnership providing more runs than the rest of the innings.
To a certain extent yes. But it's very unusual to run through an entire team and get no resistance. Either the ball gets older, conditions get easier or someone digs in and grinds something out. You cant bowl the smae bowlers all innings and your change bowlers may bowl more loose deliveries or get less out of the surface. Unless the pitch is an absolute minefield or it's men against boys you expect some resistance somewhere. Our innings followed the same pattern with one big partnership between Patel and Foakes.
I think we're in a good position and we need to knock these last 3 wickets off quickly. We can win this.

It sounds like everything was handed well and there was no panic.
10-1

20-3
Been a few times this season we have wasted a good start and blown any chance of winning the match.
31-4
31-5... 200 isn't looking that bad now.
129-7

Another good position not capitalised on.
Hampshire all out for 290, with a lead of 90.
And then
290 all out .
This really is unforgivable
