"higher standard than been given before" aint saying much !
and as for Standard Liege they can f_uck off wouldnt finish in the top 6 in our Championship
How many Belgian League games have you seen Goonerhater? It makes me laugh the amount of people who make decisions on something they know jack shit about.
Yea yann897 :-o
Any more key board warriors wanna have a dig at me this morning , don't really see what Iv done apart from saying he looks like a good player don't worry I won't comment on this forum for a while too many people wanna keep having a go.
Not having a pop at all yann but read what dick said
'It makes me laugh the amount of people who make decisions on something they know jack shit about'
Yes but it is a statement borne out of ignorance. I will ask again, how can you judge the standard of Belgian football when you haven't seen any of it? Would you comment on the standard of Japanese Sumo wrestling when you don't know anything about it?
Some people seriously over estimating the level of the Championship!
Big crowds and games on TV don't automatically mean good football. I saw some shockers last season.
I've not seen this guy play, so i'll see what he's like when he plays for us, but lets not kid ourselves that we play against Barca every week. It does take time to adjust but it sounds like this guy is quit physical and likes a tackle, so should be able to do a job if he's match fit.
Im going to reserve judgenment, BUT pretty much every loan we received last year had been highly praised by someone. Potential french keeper, 700k prospect.. reza the don etc and the only player that was any good is AA

Take no notice Yann, people know as much about Yoni Buyens as they do Chris O Grady. He has come from SL so is written off before a ball has even been kicked.
Bloody hell guys if RD wasn't our owner and we went for a player from SL this place would of been buzzing with excitement.
Not if 5 of the previous 6 SL signings were gash
think you need to look at the individual signings though.
Reza - Not physical enough AA - Not fit enough Thuram - Not good enough but only seeing a GK play 3 games its hard to tell Nego - Too young perhaps one for future PP - Also young, and needs time to adjust
This guy appears to have played more games than those 5 combined, and his style of play should mean he's ready for the English game.
He feels me with more optimism of being a success than all of those, plus RD and his team are aware of what is required now.

Exactly. He could be shit, he could be good. Lets wait and see.

Ignore the sad negatives Yann. They have nothing better going on in their lives but to pour scorn on anything that RD and co are trying to do for our club or indeed anyone who is feeling positive. Its sad and embarrassing. Don't let them drag you down.

I definitely hope RD has learned from last year, I was just pointing out why people are not skipping with joy at the latest person linked.

But then we all thought the likes of JFH,Luke Varney, McLeod, Andy Gray, Simon Francis, Frimpong, Gower etc would be good. We expected Obika to make a real difference when he signed on loan second time round, failed signings aren't unique to our network loans...

Indeed, but they were under different owners and not restricted to 5 clubs.. of which only 1 is better than us on paper.
This network sharing is far more difficult than it sounds.
The ones who will happily come here possibly aren't good enough, while the ones that are good enough possibly don't want to come here !
SL Players look at league tables and think, Charlton, Second Division. It's a step down, no thanks.
But maybe word has got back there, that it's a hell of a physically tough league, you're not given time on the ball and it's not what you're used to.......?

AA-I thought was good Reza-Admittedly needs improvement YTU-Was IMO just being moody because he was 2nd choice so was not that bothered Koc-Only brought in for youth team

Would just like to point out I always said he was not good enough and work not improve the team I could see that from the loan, I said that we he signed and most people disagreed

Polish Pete and Nego never came from SL
ok sorry, 3 of the previous 4 and the 2 from outside the network were even worse

Not being rude Yann but who on Gods earth apart from Belgians and Roland's YouTube geeks watches Belgian football enough to be able to notice these players
Well when we signed thuram I searched for some of their highlights and remembered a few of their players Not hard really , if you don't think he's a good player check he's FIFA rating lol.
So you haven't actually seen him play then?
you couldn't make it up!
What are you on about , you do realise the FIFA thing was a joke don't you or are you a bit simple ?
Considering what a state you get in when you think you've been insulted it's odd that you don't notice yourself doing it so frequently, but then maybe you're a bit simple.

We are a dumping ground for players they dont want anymore. It's a joke.
Talking of jokes , anyone seen our new manager yet?
