    England look very average. Uruguay are a better team statistically though so you would expect them to be up against it.

    We said it last game. No excuses. If you have players like Jagielka at a World Cup you are not going anywhere. Nothing against him as he is an honest player. But he is not world class.

    All down to Gerard that goal very very weak challenge, he offered little against Italy and is a luxury.

    Agreed. We are just not very good. In the same way we would not be surprised if Charlton were 1-0 down to Norwich it is no surprise to see England losing to the number 3 or 4 team in the world

    No movement going forward in midfield, can't keep the ball down or even keep the ball full stop. Really poor from Gerrard giving the ball away and not doing anything to win it back. Awful positioning at the back again for the subsequent cross. It's not a world class or inch perfect cross, it's crap defending.

    Gerrard needs to come off and take Henderson with him. They're not good enough. Get Wilshere and Barkley on.

    Just not good enough, too many players ducking responsibility. Roy needs to chuck a few tea cups and make a couple of early subs, Lallana and Barkley for Wellbeck and either Sterling (overplaying it tonight down blind alleys) or Gerard.

    England are poor. Gerrard's first corner was straight out of the Darren Ambrose /Danny Green can't beat the first defender school. Sturridge , Welbeck and Stirling are less effective tonight because of the incomprehensible need to accommodate an unmotivated fat scouser in his preferred position. Baines should have taken that free kick Rooney took.

    I hope to be £10 poorer courtesy of the Upbeats but somehow doubt that I will be.

    Godin should have been sent off, but that apart, don't see the ref having a bad game, unlike the team in white. Hit the bar but little else, and Uruguay just look better in all departments.

    I think he is usually shit but he's the only one that's kept the ball, he's tried to move it quickly . Hes been miles better than Gerrard

    Henderson has not been our best player in either game. Bloody hell. Is he the player that's going to get the ball forward for us and get us back into this game? Gerrard has been awful at this World Cup and not a single one of the back four is good enough to play at the top level of international football. Wilshere, Barkley and Lallana should all be in that team.
