One thing we can say is that England have been shit over the years but we have never been humiliated like this in our word cup history .
USA 1 England 0 1950? Brasil made the semi, we finished bottom in a weak group. Brasil 5 World Cups, 2 losses in the final and 3 losses in the semi-final. England 1 World Cup, 1 semi final loss and 6 quarter final defeats. England biggest defeat Hungary 7-1 England (Budapest, Hungary; 23 May 1954)
Try your best ( again ) to disagree with me but neither of those results come close to losing at home in a World Cup semi final 7-1 and you know it.
Brasil thugged and lucked their way this far, glad they got found out, should have lost to the three Cs. Disappointed in Germany till tonight as they have played great football in the last decade, always preferred their fluid incisive style to the tikky tacky of Spain - was disappointed in France not beating them in the quarters but good to see them back on form, it could have been a world cup without a good team getting through, great we have one now. Time for Argentina or Holland to step up to the (river) plate too.

No I don't know it. Pretty much our whole world cup history has been a humiliation. And I don't have to try to disagree with the crap you normally post.
Yes, let's all laugh and gloat..but just hope it doesn't get more serious. The Brazilian goalie who was blamed for 1950 WC Final defeat had an awful life after - he described it as a 50 year life sentence, so please let's not be too flippant about what happened tonight. Look up Barbosa and then reflect on what this might mean for Fred, David Luiz, Oscar etc.
I'm quite sad about it all and found little to admire about ruthless Germans.

Lol . Take as long as you like ( again ) to find a World Cup result that England have experienced as bad as a home tournament semi final 7-1 defeat. Are you anti English it just anti anything I say ?

Completely different, the 1950 players returned to humiliation at home. The 2014 players will return to their European clubs and multi million contracts

I know I've taken the piss a little bit in my earlier post, but I can actually see what Weegie is saying.
However, maybe you're right in that if you consider Luiz, one of the worse players on the pitch (who was taking care of the captain's armband too?!), just completed a £50,000,000 deal... well, I dare say when he arrives at his club as the "expensive superstar" his confidence wont be beaten for too long. I actually hope that is the case too, without this degenerating in to a discussion about footballers pay, they simply had a bad game... very bad. No one's life and confidence should be ruined over that.
I think the real worry for this Brazilian team is that the football was never the main issue at home, and them being in the competition may have been papering over a few cracks..

Well, yes, except they are all human beings...
I don't wish humiliation on anybody, but the 1950 players with their poverty had things 1000 times worse

Apart from Fred...
Targeting Fred was unfair, he's just not very good, not his fault he got picked. The real villains were the big name players back in defence and midfield

Nice little earner

Not a bad day all round for the Ethels today. Even the TdF winner would have looked good against Brazil tonight.
Football as it should be played. Be great for the Dutch to put Argentina in their place tomorrow.

Utterly gobsmacked!
Played some great football
Could have scored more
Are always there or there abouts
we always fail and the Scots never get as far as the main show--------------not sure how anyone can say they cant admire the Germans.

Have a feeling his reception next season won't be warm.
Lots of Germans having to hide out in Brazil at the moment. At least some things never change.
