3 October ~ The Blackpool Supporters' Trust have organised a protest against their club's onwers during the televised match against Cardiff City tonight. Blackpool are bottom of the Championship and their fans feel the money from their Premier League season has not been properly invested back into the club. The Trust are asking stay-away fans to turn up and the protest will involve releasing thousands of black balloons, as well as holding up banners and staging a walk-out in the 53rd minute of the match, representing the year they won the FA Cup. There is more information on the Football Supporters' Federation website.

Seen there are a number of people on their forum talking about a mass invade of the pitch as the players come out for the 2nd half as well

Pitch invasion at beginning of second half and a mass walk-out in 53rd minute. Can't see them doing both.

If you go onto the later pages the pitch invasion isn't even being discussed.

Doesn't look all that organised so doubt anything will happen.

    Stadium is so empty

if they do the mass walk out will anyone every notice

They haven't had a walk in let alone a walk out.

Thought Blackpool deserve to be winning after that half. Don't look all that bad.

Apparently their drummer was not allowed his drum to start with tonight. Presumably because he was mentioned as being involved in leading the walk out. Great way to deal with the situation, that'll placate the fans!

seen a few people on their forum and Twitter say they are considering not walking out now because they are playing well

a number have walked out but not a mass

    Blackpool 1-0.

Jose Riga is starting to turn this round.

Don't get it personally. Surely would have just made more sense not to turn up? I think that speaks a bit more.

The owner is so thick he probably thought nothing of it.

A good manager trumps a shit owner. Good on you Jose.

    Good luck Jose

How Jose Riga has managed to win a game there is a miracle. Props to the guy, seems like a proper gent and a very good manager too. Far too good for an owner like Oyston.

That game summed up The Championship for me. A very equal division and it can often come down to 2 things :-

    1 Who wants it most.

2 Who is better set up/ has the best tactics.

Blackpool wanted it more than Cardiff & their set up was better. This was enough to win, despite Cardiff having a set of players, that should be in the top 6 and possibly even top 2.

    well done Jose.

Well done Jose, would love them to stay up because of him.

No easy games in this division and it can all change very quickly.

Jose is doing an excellent job keeping them in touch in adverse circumstances.

If Jose Riga Keeps Blackpool up, he would be manager of the year, for the second year running.

Call him Red Adair, the man for a crisis.

Why? Did he used to dance with Ginger Rogers?
