18-3 in the sixth over. Both Dilshan and Sangakkara are now out. Jayawardene comes in at five.

India vs South Africa at MCG starts in 45 minutes.
  • SL on the ropes here. Afghanistan are gonna regret letting so many chances slip.

    52-4 in the 13th over.
  • SL won by 6 wickets with 10 ball to spare.

Meanwhile, India are 156-2 off 32 overs with Dhawan 96* against S A.

    India now 227-2 off 40 overs. Dhawan 126* & Rhane 49*

Philander is off the pitch injured and if the last few overs are anything to go by, there could be some absolute carnage in the last 10 overs.
  • Not quite "carnage" but India's total is still a very respectable 307-7 albeit on a good track.

    Meaningful contributions:

    Dhawan 137 (146)
    Rahane 79 (60)
    Kohli 46 (60)
  • West Indies ended up bowling Pakistan out for 160 so won by a rather comprehensive 150 runs.

It looks highly unlikely that there will be any play in the Australia v Bangladesh game as it is still raining and will have to stop in the next 30 minutes or so for even a 20 over match to take place.

Just wonder how that unexpected point for Bangladesh will effect final table !!
  • How did India beat South Africa so comprehensively???
  • SA getting silly run outs doesn't help
  • Surprisingly, England unchanged:

Ali, Bell, Ballance, Root, Morgan (C), Taylor, Buttler, Woakes, Broad, Finn, Anderson
  • Scotland win the toss and England will bat first.

Obviously happy with the Ballance of the team. We can't lose this, can we?
  • really not sure if I want to put myself through this after the other day

You wouldn't think so but if there was ever a perfect time for a minnow side to play England, it's now!!
  • No changes is a piss take.

We will win (surely, right?) but that is no justification for keeping this team on against sterner opposition.

We need to be pro-active ... not something in the nature of the ECB!

You could say that, but remember we have been shell shocked by the best 2 sides in the tournament.
I'm sure the team will retain a positive vibe for this one.

From 9-0 after 3 to 23-0 after 4. Two fours and a six from Moeen Ali.

    Ali 17 (13)
    Bell 2 (11)
  • Hales had to come in.. He just had to..

I don't mind us sticking with this team. Keep the group together, get a win and build confidence and spirit after two tough games against both hosts / two favourites.

If we somehow lose this one as well, then it's time to make changes.
  • 45-0 after 8 overs.

    Ali 25 (23)
    Bell 14 (25)
  • The Scots really have no shame when it comes to the outfits they wear.

80-0, 13 overs & Ali reaches half century.

    Ali 51 (40)
    Bell 21 (38)
  • For God's sake, please, please, please get Bell out.
    ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  • 89-0, 15 overs

    Ali 58 (45)
    Bell 23 (45)
  • 102-0, 17 overs

    Ali 65 (53)
    Bell 29 (49)
  • 117-0, 20 overs

    Ali 73 (65)
    Bell 35 (56)
  • Staggering that the same team has been chosen throughout the tournament so far, absolute stubbornness from the management and captain to not give people like hales and tredwell a go when both deserve it.

We all know once we come up against a decent team the batting and bowling will fold again, like always.
  • 132-0, 23 overs

    Ali 82 (75)
    Bell 41 (64)
  • 144-0, 25 overs

    Ali 92 (82)
    Bell 43 (69)
  • For God's sake, please, please, please get Bell out.

Managed to only hit the 5th ball for a single against the grenade lobber. Single handedly trying to screw up our run rate.
The geoff boycott of 50 overs cricket.
