  • herd tonite dont give a feck if its bollox posting without reading blah blah

church off to the bermondsey pony spotters
    Piggot out on loan
    Wilson sold
we sign some Slovakian goal keeper as henderson misses rest of season
  • Keeper is from Bulgaria (or playing in Bulgaria maybe?) going by a few on Twitter

    Where's this?
    Twitter....
  • Just seen a few people mention he is from Bulgaria, that's all. No actual source.
  • Charlton also want to sign a goalkeeper, central defender and an attacking midfielder in January as Peeters prepares for a busy month.

Wonder how accurate that is? Watt doesn't seem to be a hold up striker, really hope he's not the only striker we'll sign this month.

Could also do with a left back unless Wiggins is back soon.

I heard the Church to relegation placed Millwall rumour too.

And, although I don't like criticising players, especially "our own " , I noticed that Wilson spent about 5 mins of the Ipswich halftime warm up period, having pics taken with our away fans in the Lower Stand section. Saw Laurence Bloom give him " a look" as if to say, you're supposed to be getting ready to come on if necessary....I wasn't particularly impressed either and did wonder how much longer he'd be happy on our bench. Time & place, Lawrie.

You can just picture it now can't you... Millwall survive by a goal, and who other but spongefoot with an absolute screamer......

Brentford's Moses Odubajo could be on his way out of the club on loan, with Brighton and Charlton being strong links #bhafc #cafc

Just signed for them and is their first choice right back/winger. No chance.

With Bob I get the feeling that if you're not a player he likes then you may as well not exist. Got that with Morrison and Church, and I think Lawrie falls into that category too. He's probably realised he's on his way out and isn't too bothered about warming up at half time. I think if he's not gone in January he will be in summer. Well, assuming Bob is still here that is.

  • There was a comment in a 'post match views' thread last year where Wilson's uncle had told a fan that Brighton were after Lawrie (due in part to Nathan Jones being involved)

Could definitely see that happening this window with his reduced role in the team. And with him out of contract in the summer, I imagine we'll get the same fee we got for Morrison.

the 'source' on twitter believes the deal is for around £1m

I can't pronounce half the shit on his wiki page
  • We need a proper out and out winger who can cross the fucking ball! How hard is it to get one.

Been struggling to get one in for years now.

I agree however I think they generally don't exist anymore, I blame Wenger and his desire to pass the ball to death.
  • If its a goalkeeper, centre back, midfielder and tony watt coming in then that's the least we need. Still think we need one more striker as well as watt but I'll still be happy if we sign 4 players in this window

Exactly, we have no-one who can beat a full back & get to the byline.

Agreed but only two of those four will (I hope) noticeably improve the team. Our CB's are ok and the GK position is too. Be glad that BP has more options but I was hoping for two strikers and two in midfield. The GK and CB are nice but not essential IMHO. In fact I would prefer a championship left back in on loan.

  • Agree with all that we need 4-5 players but the midfield is the area that's worrying me most at the moment with only Gudmundsson showing any kind of form

  • I don't think either Pope or Etheridge will be the reason we could go down. Our most pressing problems are further up the pitch. We have little threat or creativity and as a consequence our defence comes under too much pressure. Sort it out in midfield and in attack and I think just like at the start of the season the defence will look after itself.

The Gk is essential if Henderson is out for the season. It's the most important position on the pitch & we will go down if we have to play Etheridge or Pope for the rest of the season. I hoped Etheridge would be an improvement but from what I've seen he's only marginally better & neither are ready for the championship.

Agreed, get an experienced old head in between the sticks who can marshall his defence to include a more experienced left back on loan if Wiggins out for another month. A target man as well as Watt and at least one midfielder essential. Shuffle those surplus to requirements around the network or out on loan if no buyers. Can't see it fitting in with Rolly's strategy though so not holding my breath.
  • A bit worried that players like Wilson will be moved on when the majority of the players, that have been brought over the last few windows are the problem. Moussa and quite a few others have just been a waste of a signing.
  • It seems to have got worse since the coq has gone back he seemed to have a bit of bite and spark
  • I thought Katerien and RD's plan was to....plan. I thought they were all about running a business and making strategic decisions?
Yes they've tarted up the stadium, yes they've invested in youth. All good.
But the transfer 'policy' looks totally amateur.
We've been crying out for players since August and the thought was our strategic leader was planning for January.
What do we get...? Another Liege cast off.
Yes we need to wait until the end of the window to judge but at the moment this feels very much like the Cash era.
  • Disagree with that. Etheridge hasn't done much wrong.

Too true - I often make the joke that Dracula would feel safe at the Valley given the lack of crosses. Perhaps that is what is upsetting George.

I didn't realise Peeters had gone back to Belgium? :)

He has surprised me hardly played any football but has come in and made some good stops seems a little lightweight but can't be blamed for any of the sloppy goals we have conceded in the games he's played
