Bringing in a striker is pointless. The team is crying out for a midfielder who can drive forward and play in the forwards. A championship standard Shelvey type.
Doubt there's one in the Liege reserves unfortunately.
We need both but a striker that can hold up the ball will allow players to get forward. They'll also challenge for headers - at the moment the opposition win everything in the air.
Not pointless at all if the player is good enough.
He could tackle, pass, shoot and last 55 minutes before a rapid decline in energy... Get the training right and he could last a full 90 seconds or so longer...
Birmingham reject a £5m bid from Bournemouth for Demarai Gray.
Come on Roland you're not going to let a Club like Bournemouth outbid us are you?
Bournemouth obviously showing how much financial fair play means.
They are adopting a "we don't give a shit about FFP, let's get there before they really start taking it seriously" strategy...
And who could blame them, they are very close to getting into the Premiership and then they can pay whatever fines they have to....relegation fodder, who cares, you now get more in 'parachute money' than the winner of the premier league did a few years ago!! Some would argue it's worth the risk.

QPR did it last year & the fines are only payable when they are back in the football league..........and then they will have ££££ in parachute payments in any case to pay for it all.
A real test of whether or not KM and co can acquire any signings outside the network today. Yeah we LePoint, but I think we are beginning to see the inability of those in charge to sign anyone outside the network. I'm readying myself for the following soundbite from KM tomorrow morning
"We were so very close to pushing 2 permanent signings over the line, but we just couldn't quite get them through. But do not worry because we will wait for the loan window to open and we have 1 or 2 back up options in players we know through our existing scouting methods who could join......."
Basically another look in SL reserves to see who's up for joining on loan

There is a creative midfielder in their reserves. He only lasts 60 minutes a game but knows the championship.
It wouldn't surprise me if he started to wink but got too knackered to lift his eyelid back up again.

Don't have to worry about that as we can't loan players from abroad outside the transfer window

Fair point. The striker I was thinking of was the Swedish bloke who doesn't fit the bill.
AA isn't a bad shout, would probably have to play in the No.10 position? Probably couldn't play a target man and AA.
With the limited players we have, I wouldn't mind seeing something along the lines of..
Cousins - Another defensive mid
JBG - No.10 type - Harriot
Igor / Watt
Don't think we have the midfield for 442 and I suppose that's why the midfield don't create a lot in that formation.

Leicester's Moore wanted by Watford and Charlton Sami Mokbel: Leicester City defender Liam Moore is a target for Watford and Charlton. Foxes boss is ready to let the talented central defender leave on loan today, and he is set to choose between the two Championship sides.
Just seen this on twitter, and it the 3rd time I've seen it from different people-:

Cant see how he would get a work permit if West Ham already tried and failed.

Looked pretty tidy against Villa yesterday. But then I reckon I might have had a decent run at Alan Hutton in that match. Hope it's true.

No idea who he is but have concerns that we're buying someone called Chubs!

The only player I really want back and it just won't happen
Still not rising.
