Our crescent organising a stay at home street party for VE Day, should be a laugh, everyone sitting in there own front gardens, so social distancing should be maintain. Wine, beer, food optional.

Be nice to see something like this catch on to lift everyone’s spirits after all its celebrating a famourps victory over a vicious enemy.

Out of interest does anyone know if there’s a planned bank holiday for the forgotten army and VJ Day?

Watching Pointless yesterday. Vicki Michelle & Linda Lusardi had me imagining all sorts of things.
Vicki seemed very keen on hugging Linda, not that I noticed or had any impure thoughts or anything.

Woke to a news story that made me smile.

Two men armed with machetes broke into a house in NSW Australia.  They had been hired by the owner to tie him up and give his near naked body a rub down with a broom.  The client was prepared to pay 5000 dollars if it was really good.

The only problem being, they broke into the wrong property.  When the hapless raiders realised their mistake they held out a big friendly Aussie hand to their victim and said, 'Sorry mate'.

I reckon the victim was lucky the raiders had realised their mistake before the broom came out ... Mind you, the type of broom would be a factor here.  A big hard bristled yard broom would be quite unpleasant, whereas one of those soft bristled pantry brooms would be quite nice  less so.  That's what a friend of mine said anyway

As someone who remembers the Westcliff Broom Murder I think I'd be more worried about what the other end could do rather than the bristles.

Finally getting up to date with the Bonkers Shenanighans, Lyle Taylor and Covid-19 threads.  Some might consider this a waste of a day off, but I know where my priorities lie.

Liz Hurley posting pictures of herself with Steve Bing and saying wonderful things about him after he'd tragically taken his own life.

Bing had fathered Hurley's only child some 18 years ago.  He initially denied it and chose not to pursue a meaningful father/son relationship with him - even after a DNA test had proven him wrong.  All the same, very generous of our Liz.

Bing leaves a £482 million fortune.

Secretly gatecrashing my neighbour's garden quiz and winning. If the fence was any lower, I'd have given the game away by vaulting it to claim my prize.

Incredible, and congratulations. I've had nothing back from HMRC despite a submission at the begining of April, and a substantial sum of IHT paid on account at the back end of last year.

Yet my passport renewal took only 8 days from online application to the new one dropping onto my doormat, despite warnings of short staffing due to Covid.

Being told at my annual diabetic check up, that should have been done in May, that apart from putting on a little weight since last year, I'm in decent shape (well round is a shape).

Going to crack open a beer tonight to celebrate.
    Enjoy!!
