If we are not willing to fork out for tea and coffee, why should we pay wages for players not playing ? Whoever is making these decisions knows nothing about football.
Roland Duchatelet, the tightest man on planet earth. He has over £300M, but won't buy the tea & coffee.2 -

I didn't get how people are saying JJ can't cut it anymore when we've barely seen him this season (not saying he's the answer btw, just surprised people are so sure he's finished when they are rating the likes of Ba and Bergdich 5s and 6s in the match stats)14

I would play Jackson at left back he played there for part of his career if he hasn't got the legs like some people say for central midfield5
-
He'd get absolutely roasted by some of the wide players in our league.5
-
Jacko at left back at Champ level would be a calamity because his legs are not up to it. He couldn't play at a decent enough level at left back in league 1 and that was 4 or 5 years ago.4
-
Jacko's not a left back. Played there in L1 for us, not vey successfully. We have THD though as cover for Fox. Lennon needs some games and if we need him, I imagine we can recall him.0
-
Stick Jacko on the sofa, we may as well make use of it.0

According a recent estimate RD's worth 1.25 billion euro. FYI, the chap on the No2 spot owns KV Ostend en the No 4 owns Club Bruges.

Jacko was awful at left back when he first got lumped there by parky. Now he's about 5x slower than he was then and older I think we'd be better off putting me at left back.0

Some of you do make me chuckle, this tightest man on planet earth is currently funding a loss of £5 - 8 million a year!9 -
Losses being loaded up to the debt of the club, which is the largest debt in the clubs history ? Tax write off for other companies ? Also, not enough commitment though to get the club out of the championship or compete in a strong way in a difficult division.2

This is my question, I would assume RD is not just writing that money off, so when he does sell will want it back?vff said:Losses being loaded up to the debt of the club, which is the largest debt in the clubs history ? What happens if his football business ideology continues to fail to the point he loses interest in a few seasons but has not got a hope of selling for anywhere near the money he has paid out due to us still being a middle table at best Championship club?

Maybe hoping that in a few years time, that the care and support will be knocked out of Charlton supporters. Then will be able to reclaim the money back in another way (if the debts continue to mount up and the project fails), that currently would not be accepted ?0 -

They mentioned on the tv commentary today (couldnt get to game) that we had the third lowest budget in the Championship, if so certainly explains a lot.0

The said that we had the third lowest last season but that it had increased slightly this season. Whether that means it has increased from third lowest or increased in total salary I am not certain. But either way, as you say, it explains a lot.Halix said:They mentioned on the tv commentary today (couldnt get to game) that we had the third lowest budget in the Championship, if so certainly explains a lot.

Our budget is one third of Cardiffs budget.
RD holding the purse strings VERY tightly at present.0 -
It looked like the third lowest attendance too....0

I am all for not going crazy with the spending like some clubs currently do but RD also needs to be realistic about what is needed assuming the goal is success on the pitch, makes you wonder, especially when i am assuming he is adding that five million pounds a season losses onto the clubs debt for whenever he does sell up, as i doubt he is just writing that off and it is not being paid for my player sales, as not a chance that the Gomez fee raised enough up front to cover that and our new summer signings.Swisdom said:Our budget is one third of Cardiffs budget.

We've lined up several deals, several of which will ultimately be described as deadline day deals that we just couldn't quite get over the line in time6

Awaiting the successors to Andy Delort and James Henry with interest!c4fcdenmark said:Interesting to see what's in store here. Hot air or substance?
